With President Joe Biden out of the race and failing harder and harder in his role as president each day, Democrats have Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate as male figures to look up to. They're hardly worthwhile figures for men, especially young men, to look up to, but the fanatical left still is trying their darndest, and that especially includes on MSNBC.
On Sunday, Jen Psaki, who had served as the first White House Press Secretary of the Biden-Harris administration, gushed over Emhoff and how he was "redefining masculinity."
As was revealed early last month, Emhoff was married previously, and that he cheated on his first wife with the nanny, who became pregnant as a result of the affair. The nanny did not have the baby, who may have been miscarried or aborted as a result.
During their Sunday conversation on "Inside with Jen Psaki," the former Biden-Harris staffer turned MSNBC host was all too happy to boost Emhoff.
The exchange was thoroughly mocked, with Amy Curtis highlighting some of the best reactions at our sister site of Twitchy. The Trump War Room shared a clip of the particularly softball interview, along with a nauseous emoji to reflect what so many others were thinking.

In a tone that could hardly come off as more fawning, Psaki referenced "an important part, an interesting part of how people have talked about your role is here is how your role has reshaped the perception of masculinity."
Psaki and Emhoff giggled together as she continued by offering "I'm not sure you planned on that." In all sincerity, Psaki then referred to Emhoff, a man who cheated on his first wife and impregnated the nanny, as "an incredibly supportive spouse," wanting to know "has that been an evolution for you and do you think that's part of the role you might play uh, as First Gentleman?"
Emhoff responded by noting "I've always been like this," after saying "it's funny" in response to such a question. "To me, it's the right thing to do, you know, support women," as he went on to share how it's "mutual, like with Kamala and I, we support each other, we have each other's back."

Emhoff also went on to bring up the Democrats' pet issue of abortion, which was a theme throughout the interview. "And I've said many times when we lift up women, we support women, whether it's pay equity, child care, family leave, and all these that--and, you know, this post-Dobbs [v. Jackson] hellscape, women should not be less than, women should not have less rights and be treated differently, that's not the American way."
The second gentleman also tried to argue that women don't have to succeed while men suffer. "And it's also not like if some women succeed, some dude out there is suffering, it's not a one-to-one relationship. When we life up women, we lift up families, we lift up the economy," Emhoff continued, claiming that Psaki in her role at the White House were among those who "lifted up" the economy, as did Harris, all while Psaki nodded along. "It was a great workplace there," he even offered.
When Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Psaki was involved in fiercely gaslighting those who warned it would cause the inflation that it did, even and including Democratic economists. Harris also cast the tiebreaking vote on the woefully misnamed Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and there have been reports for years about how toxic this supposedly "great workplace" is when it comes to those working for Harris.
Psaki and Emhoff continued with the giggles as the former gushed over the latter by pointing out he was "a proud wife guy," with Emhoff even mentioning he'll show that to his wife if she ever "gets upset."
As much as Psaki was all too happy to sing Emhoff's praises, she's hardly the first person to do so. Last month, The Washington Post thought it was worthwhile to publish an opinion piece on how Emhoff is supposedly a "progressive sex symbol." This was after news came out about Emhoff's affair with the nanny.
When it comes to the clip circulating, Psaki doubled down with a quote repost and a winking smiley face in response. Her show's account also reposted Emhoff lamenting the overturning of Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs decision as part of the softball interview, which is actually how their conversation began, though Emhoff kept coming back to it.

If the nanny did get an abortion, this is an even more cringeworthy, though it will never not be cringeworthy that pro-abortion Democrats are so obsessed with their daughters not being able to abort their grandchildren so easily in all 50 states.
"It's wrong," Emhoff ranted about the decision, claiming "this is all because of Donald Trump," as he then told a totally bogus line of how the Republican nominee "ran on a platform of women should be punished for seeking abortion," based on something he said several years ago after being goaded by Chris Matthews, also with MSNBC at the time.
Emhoff told yet another lie, claiming Trump "is for a national abortion ban," despite how he and the Trump-Vance campaign have stressed that he believes abortion is an issue best left to the states in a post-Roe world.
"Make no mistake, where he says 'I will be the protector of women,'" Emhoff scoffed, mocking a line that others have similarly taken issue with. Gina Raimondo, the Commerce Secretary under the Biden-Harris administration took so much issue with such a line from Trump that last week she insisted let's "extinguish" Trump "for good."
With a serious look on his face, Emhoff claimed "women, men--we should be furious about this gaslighting" that's supposedly coming from Trump, when it's abortion-obsessed Democrats are engaging in it. "Turn this anger into action," he urged.

Emhoff also talked about how abortion empowers men during that interview. It certainly does, especially the bro-choice crowd, as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg revealed during the White Dudes for Harris fundraising Zoom call not long after Biden dropped out. There's a significant problem with that kind of "masculinity."
As newsworthy as the Psaki-Emhoff interview was, the network was also pushing Walz as the answer to Harris' problems with young men. Last Friday's episode of "Morning Joe" emphasized how men are "the real struggle" for the Harris-Walz point. It was then suggested that Emhoff and Walz could actually help. Such a point was noticed by the Washington Examiner's Byron York and The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway, as Sam J. at Twitchy covered.

The MSNBC website has oodles of pieces, including a Monday opinion piece, "How Vance and Walz represent a battle to define masculinity," which was advertised as the first in a series named "MAGA and Masculinity in 2024."
Since Walz was picked as Harris' running mate last month, there's been no less than four pieces on the topic:
- August 8, "Tim Walz is giving MAGA a master class in manhood."
- August 19, "Harris and Walz are hitting Trump where it hurts: his masculinity."
- August 22, "Why it matters that Kamala Harris has two white guys in her corner."
- September 20, "White Dudes for Harris hits Trump and his weaponized masculinity."
Last month, The Hill also published a column, "Democrats have lost young men to the GOP — Tim Walz can win them back."
This kind of "masculinity" looks to be something of a bizarre but nevertheless oft-repeated concept for Democratic allies in the media. During last month's DNC, for instance, CNN's Dana Bash offered up Walz as someone who "can speak to men out there who might not be the testosterone laden gun toting guy."
