Kurt Schlichter

Kurt Schlichter is Senior Columnist at Townhall.  

He was a Los Angeles trial lawyer, is a retired Army Infantry colonel with a masters in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and is a former stand-up comic.  He is a frequent guest on Fox News, Newsmax, and elsewhere, and he appears on air with such luminaries as Hugh Hewitt, Larry O'Connor, Tony Katz, and Chris Stigall, among others. 

Kurt Schlichter is also the author of "People's Republic" Kelly Turnbull novels and the novel “The Attack.” As an Army officer, he commanded a cavalry recon squadron, and served in Desert Storm and Kosovo as well as multiple disaster operations. He lives in the South Bay area of Los Angeles where his hobbies include red meat and red wine. His favorite caliber is .45.
