Oh no, gas is a little more expensive per gallon, and a bunch of Democrats haven’t been thrown into jail yet. I guess the only thing to do is vote for a bunch of communists.
There are many great things that Donald Trump has done, from closing the border to squelching DEI, to turning the Civil Rights Division at DOJ from a race-obsessed jihad against straight penis-people of power into something that protects liberty instead of taking it. There’s a whole litany of wins, wins no one thought possible, wins no one even imagined 10 years ago, and yet some people are dooming. There are people mad at Trump because he hasn’t done enough, yet I haven’t even mentioned what may be his most important achievement.
He’s reset the entire international chessboard. OK, if you don’t like chess, remember Risk? Think of the world as a giant Risk board. He has reset that. And some people overlook this achievement, accomplished in under two years through savvy strategy and the uncompromising use of American power, because it prevented a disaster instead of cleaning up one already unfolding.
Look at the world today. The National Defense Strategy refocused America’s posture from the old postwar paradigm of Europe and the Middle East to something relevant to 2026 instead of 1986. It did several things. First, it put America’s effort back on our own hemisphere. Call it the Donroe Doctrine. We’re protecting the homeland, and it’s about time. The world has gotten a lot smaller in the last few decades. Those oceans aren’t the barrier they once were, not with hypersonics, cyber, and asymmetrical warfare. The Chinese were all over Central and South America, grabbing power and digging themselves in all around us. Oh, and there’s Canada, too. The leftists up there were eager to cavort with the CCP. They’re a lot less eager now that Donald Trump showed in Venezuela what happens to America’s enemies. Carney is fantasizing about America invading, but if he let Beijing get boots on the ground up there, his fears would be realized. And he knows it.
The Chinese were going to take over the Panama Canal. That’s not happening. Remember Venezuela and all the trouble it was causing? Maduro is gone. The interim authorities cut a deal, and we’ve got governance rights, a stake, and guaranteed offtake on fields holding about 65 billion barrels, on top of our own roughly 46 billion. That is a huge chunk of the world’s known supply. It is preferential access to a huge heavy-crude reserve China wanted, in our hemisphere, at production cost.
And look at the rest of Central and South America. USAID has been shut down. We’re not subsidizing leftists anymore. Right-wing government after right-wing government is taking over; the next likely to be in Brazil after the October 25 runoff, where Flávio Bolsonaro already led Lula in the first round. Sure, a few holdouts remain, like Cuba and Nicaragua. Well, go short on Cuba. If you think Marco Rubio is going to let those commie bastards live past the Trump administration’s sell-by date, you’re hallucinating. And as Cuba goes, so does Cuba’s commie Mini-Me, Nicaragua. When it collapses, look for the domestic fallout as the contacts and collaboration with senior Democrats get exposed.
Remember the stuff about Greenland? Everyone had a big laugh. The only people laughing now are the ones who are stupid or who think you’re stupid. Trump’s hard-nosed negotiations produced a deal with Denmark and Greenland that, once their parliaments ratify it, gives the United States broad military access and a veto on adversary bases and commercial exploitation. We will have a free military hand in the key terrain at the top of the world. Greenland is full of resources, and it sits on the path missiles would take to hit the United States from much of the rest of the world. By dominating that approach — and we’re going to dominate it — the American homeland’s security has been massively enhanced.
With the Americas secured, we can look out toward the main threat. That’s in the Pacific. That’s China. Everybody knows it. Not everybody wants to admit it, some because they don’t want to do what dealing with the threat requires, and some because the Chinese have bought them off. On the to-do list is reversing the Chinese infiltration of American society. That has to happen alongside the Pacific reorientation of the United States military, a military now dedicated, under Pete Hegseth, not to providing a fertile environment for bizarre perversions like trans weirdness and furryism, but to winning wars. We are getting our warrior culture back, but we need new weapons and we need to replace expended stockpiles. The key to deterrence is making China understand it can’t win a war. Under our new strategy, the objective is to keep the Chinese contained. That’s why we are building stronger links with allies who are actually interested in security in the Western Pacific, like Japan, the Philippines, perhaps even Vietnam.
Where does that leave our old allies? That’s really their choice. In the Pacific, Australia is dithering, floundering in a sea of politically correct nonsense and Chinese influence, while New Zealand has given up even pretending to defend itself. South Korea has its own problems, including its societal death wish exemplified by its extinction–level birth rate. We can’t necessarily count on those we used to count on.
And then there’s Europe. For almost a century, we defended it. I personally helped defend it in the Cold War and later in Kosovo. Cleaning up Europe’s messes has been a continuing theme for millions of Americans, including me. The Europeans decided to take advantage of our good nature. They didn’t want to defend themselves; the new National Defense Strategy demands that they do. Now, with Russia resurgent, we’re told the Europeans can’t do it all themselves. Instead of implying that we ought to keep carrying Europe’s ruck, that implies Europe ought to get off its collective keister and lock and load.
The fact that Europe is no longer meaningfully part of what we used to call the free world makes spending our blood and treasure for them even less appealing. Besides letting much of the Third World into their countries and undermining their own civilizations, they’ve decided to fight the blowback by clamping down on free speech and jailing people for saying things. If you’re confused why we should put young American lives on the line to defend countries that arrest people for dissent, to protect them from a country that arrests people for dissent, you are not alone.
The moral and strategic case for America’s limitless defense of Europe, while they figuratively sit at home watching the Eurovision Song Contest, is utterly bankrupt. We’re not going to do it anymore. If Germany isn’t worth the blood of Germans, it sure ain’t worth the blood of Americans. And if we need allies over there, the sturdy Poles, the steadfast Finns, and especially the tough Ukrainians have all shown themselves ready to fight for their countries.
And then there’s the Middle East. We can’t get out of there soon enough, but we will get out of there eventually. Donald Trump is strangling Iran, using our economic levers of power after having used our military levers to break the rule of the mullahs. Khamenei is dead. The war that started at the end of February is not going as fast as we’d like. It’s costing us at the gas pump. The national average is back over $4, about $4.43. But the administration broke the program that was supposed to put a nuke in the hands of the mullahs, and Trump’s clear that they will not get one. That’s huge. That’s incredible. Anybody who tells you they wouldn’t have done it is a fool or a liar.
Donald Trump deserves incredible credit for being courageous enough to act, even at huge political cost. Now we must finish the job and finish the theocracy. Once that source of infection has been cut off like a gangrenous limb, the diplomatic efforts that have created both real and de facto peace between Israel and Arabs will pay off. And, of course, our awesome Israeli friends have been wiping out Hezbollah and Hamas all the while.
Now, less than two years after Donald Trump took office, we are on the verge of an entirely different world. Cuba has been a thorn in our side for almost 70 years. Those communists are going away. The mullahs have been killing Americans and subverting our friends for nearly 50 years. That clock is ticking. And the Europeans have been free-riding forever, but no more. At the same time, we’re securing our hemisphere and therefore our own security. Not only do we not have enemies on our own landmass, but we now have a claim on resources like oil and rare earths. And our key opponent, China, will have to come to us when it wants to fill its tank.
What does that add up to? The potential for peace. Strength doesn’t cause war. Weakness does. When nations feel they can win a conflict, they start one. If you want peace, you prepare for war, you get rid of as many enemies as you can, and you make your biggest enemy so vulnerable it doesn’t dare start a fight.
That’s what Trump has done for us. Oh, it isn’t in front of our eyes every day, like four-dollar gas. But you know what else isn’t in front of our eyes? A mushroom cloud and a world dominated by China.
Resetting the board is reason enough to rush out and vote to keep Congress out of the hands of the Democrats. Politicians rarely get credit for solving a problem before it fully manifests, but that’s what Donald Trump has done here, and that’s just one of many reasons we should be grateful for him.
Blackpilling? We’re winning.
