Earlier today, my colleague Jeff wrote about how the Smithsonian imposed 'white supremacy culture training' on staff and visitors. The White House released a lengthy report, titled 'Saving America's Story,' following President Trump's 2025 executive order to remove such ideology from federally funded institutions.
Under the woke leadership of Director Anthea Hartig, the Smithsonian claimed America was defined by white supremacy, slavery, and systemic oppression, while ignoring or downplaying the positive aspects of our nation's founding and achievements.
A toolkit for museum workers listed hard work and rational thinking as signs of 'white supremacy culture.'
Their endorsed "toolkit" for museum professionals listed "rational thinking" and "hard work" as traits of "White Supremacy Culture."

But a cursory glance at the Left's policies shows the only ones engaging in systemic racism are ... Leftists. Leftists are the ones who believe that Black Americans are too stupid to know what laptop computers are, how to get an ID to vote, and how to succeed in college or the workplace without the government putting its thumb on the scale.
Leftists demand segregated spaces for minority students on college campuses, going so far as to hold special graduation ceremonies for Black students (or gay students or some other group). At the same time, they scream and whine about things like voter ID being 'Jim Crow 2.0,' even though a majority of Black Americans actually support voter ID.
Every single policy they push has one goal: to divide Americans and to actively harm the communities they claim to help. Nowhere is that more evident than in education.
In Wisconsin, Black students in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) test at the bottom nationally in reading and math. MPS spends about $19,000 per student, and according to U.S. News and World Report, test scores are abysmal. In mathematics, just 11 percent of elementary school kids are proficient, while that number drops to just nine percent in high school. Reading is not much better. Only 13 percent of elementary school students are proficient in reading, and that proficiency also increases to 18 percent in high school. Despite this, the powers that be have no plans to improve MPS beyond raising taxes and spending more money.
It gets worse in California, however, where activists are trying to give Black students even more of a disadvantage by insisting 'Black English' be taught in California preschools.
Activists are pushing for Black English to be legitimized in preschool as a way to build children’s literacy skills in California.
The Black Californians United for Early Care & Education (BlackECE) is part of a movement to challenge “harmful language hierarchies and affirm Black English as a legitimate, rule-governed language rooted in Black history, culture, and community.”
The movement also seeks to “address how language bias shows up in early learning spaces–and how it can be dismantled.”
“I don’t want my son to walk into any room and feel like his voice is not valued or his perspective can’t be heard because he’s not saying it one way or the other,” the co-founder of BlackECE Ashley Williams told PBS.
She also remembered how speaking Black English is full of slangs and grammatical errors so it came with a lot of embarrassment.
BlackECE is a nonprofit organization centered around a 10-point policy plan that seeks to gain reparations and help Black children, families, and workers.
California released a plan promoting early dual language learning and calling on the state’s education system to support bilingual children in their development in 2020, but the advocacy group believes that Black vernacular should be included.
Back in May, Gavin Newsom bragged about how much California was 'investing' in its schools. He said the state's record-high spending of $28,282 per student was 'historic.' What Newsom conveniently omitted from his statement were the results.
Only 28 percent of Black students in California can read on grade level, with some data indicating that number is actually closer to 18 percent. Just a quarter of California students are proficient in math. Between 2019 and 2024, 8th-grade test scores declined seven points in math and five points in reading. Some of this is due to COVID, when Leftists and their teacher union allies kept our schools shut down to the detriment of children across the nation. But not all of it. Much of this is a deliberate choice by so-called educators to turn classrooms into political indoctrination camps.
Meanwhile, Mississippi decided to do away with DEI political activism in the classroom and returned to the basics of reading: phonics. The state spends about $13,000 per student, and 52 percent of Black students in the Magnolia State read on grade level.
Despite this, Gavin Newsom, his fellow Democrats, and these activists will tell us with a straight face that the red state that's teaching Black kids how to read is the racist one.
This reminds me of the story out of Colorado, where the Cherry Creek School District over its discriminatory, race-based disciplinary system. America First Legal filed a lawsuit, alleging the district decided that disruptive classroom behavior by minority students was 'culturally appropriate' and that it blocked teachers from disciplining disruptive students, going so far as to blame the teachers' 'whiteness' for objecting to such behavior.
In short, the district said Black students can't be expected to behave appropriately in the classroom, thus disrupting learning for everyone, and dismissed it as culture.
How is that any different from the racist rhetoric of the KKK? It's not. And now activists in California are saying Black students need their own version of English.
This is nothing new. My late ex-husband knew a priest who taught at a Catholic school in Milwaukee's inner city. The Black students who attended that school often told the priest that they were harassed in their neighborhoods for 'acting white' by trying to get a good education. Leftists have argued that literacy, along with a slew of other behaviors that make society functional and civilized, is white supremacy. They even out against reading your children bedtime stories because you're making other kids (read: racial minorities) 'disadvantaged.'
And while slavery may have been abolished in 1863, the Democrats who fought to preserve the institution still think they own Black Americans. Encouraging this discriminatory sort of curriculum in preschool sets up Black students for a lifetime of academic, social, and economic struggles. That's the outcome they desire, of course. Democrats want, and need, a permanent underclass they can court for votes so they can maintain power.
It's shameful they're willing to sacrifice children to do it, but it's not surprising.
