With the GOP showing some strength in last Tuesday's California primaries, Gavin Newsom is not a pre-emptive DNC choice for 2028. Meanwhile, as is apparent, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), the Democrat U.S. representative for New York's 14th congressional district, is considering running for U.S. president. In some early Democrat polls, she is doing well. And if the Dems were crazy enough to anoint Kamala Harris, AOC is not much more of a leap for them.

A Positive Development

If AOC runs and wins the Democrat primary, it will be a positive development for Republicans and those who are fully committed to securing a safe and strong America well into the future. Why? Because she will lose big time no matter who the Republicans are running.

Without exaggeration, AOC is among the least intelligent people ever reelected to Congress, which speaks volumes about New York's 14th congressional district. She spouts off at the drop of a hat, generally based on nothing. She is a master of pontification and not much else.

Dr Thomas Sowell, one of the most knowledgeable people you can encounter, and an expert in history, politics, and sociology, roundly castigated AOC’s approach to politics. He observed that she says, essentially, whatever comes into her mind, without facts, without figures, and without logic. She is as likely to say anything, no matter how ridiculous, as anyone on the Left today.

During a presidential campaign, if she were to become the Democrat standard bearer, she would likely embarrass herself to a greater degree than Kamala Harris. While AOC doesn't appear to have a drinking problem and is not prone to word salads, the childish blather that she dishes is often easily refuted. As such, everyone who cares about America and who will be voting Republican should want her to run.

The Hit Parade

Here's a random review of typical AOC quotes or observations. Keep in mind that this is merely a fraction of the idiocy she has spewed over the last seven years:

  • “There’s a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned,” she said. “You can’t earn a billion dollars. You just can’t earn that. You can get market power, you can break rules, you can abuse labor laws, you can pay people less than what they’re worth, but you can’t earn that.”
  • “Billionaires… shouldn’t exist.” “Billionaires are a symptom of a society that does not afford people basic elements of dignity,”
  • "The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are.” ... "The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the 'Home of the Free' is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it."
  • “Elon Musk is not a scientist. He is not an engineer. He is a billionaire con man with a lot of money.”
  • On the Green New Deal, “we set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.”
  • “We need to invent technology that’s never even been invented yet.”
  • “Amazon is paying zero in taxes… they’re paying their workers wages so low that they’re on food stamps.’
  • Circa 2019, “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”
  • “I think that there’s a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.”
  • On migrant detention facilities, “Now, I’ve seen the inside of these facilities. It’s not just the kids. It’s everyone. People drinking out of toilets, officers laughing in front of members of Congress.”
  • “Capitalism has not always existed in the world, and it will not always exist in the world. When this country started, we were not a capitalist [nation], we did not operate on a capitalist economy.”
  • On Medicare for all, “People often say, how are you gonna pay for it? And I find the question so puzzling because, how do you pay for something that’s more affordable? How do you pay for cheaper rent? How do you pay for — you just pay for it.”

A Layer Cake with Frosting

The icing on the cake would be if AOC had Jasmine Crockett as a running mate. Ms. Crockett needs no introduction, anywhere, because she's so loud and intrusive that you can't help but notice when she's in the room, on an interview, or any place where somebody will hear her twisted words. Although she recently lost the Senate primary race in Texas, she won’t go away quietly.

Jasmine Crockett has made more unfounded proclamations than one can likely imagine. She's accused Donald Trump, JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Kash Patel, and virtually everyone else in the Trump Administration of being Nazis, fascists, oligarchs, and everything in between. As with AOC, to review a variety of Crockett’s statements is to encounter a litany of idiocy, false accusations, and notably unintelligent harangue.

AOC and Crockett are made for each other and, as running mates, would bring new meaning to the term "unfit" for higher office.
