Politico Was Absolutely Bodied for Saying This Candidate Is the GOP's New 'Bogeyman'

The Left has a very predictable habit of ignoring important stories in order to help Democrats, and they do that by turning the Republicans' reaction to the story into the news story. If Abdul El-Sayed had any other political beliefs, the media would dub him persona non grata and go out of their way to destroy him. But because El-Sayed is a socialist who hates President Trump and wants to jack up our taxes to pay for low-quality Medicare for All, the media adore him.

El-Sayed has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and a website that's reportedly affiliated with the terrorist group celebrated El-Sayed's victory.

He's dangerous, and the GOP are correct to slam him.

But Politico decided to ignore El-Sayed's radicalism and instead focus on the GOP's legitimate criticisms of him.

Here's more:

Abdul El-Sayed’s victory in Michigan’s divisive Democratic Senate primary last week enables Trump and Republicans to juice the base – he supports policies embraced by self-described socialists such as Medicare for All, opposes U.S. military aid for Israel and thinks ICE should be abolished. El-Sayed says he is not a socialist.

Republicans are already accusing El-Sayed, who is Muslim, of being "anti-American," pointing to his relationship with far-left Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, who has a history of controversial statements, including about Israel and the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. The president also used El-Sayed's full name, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, this week in a statement warning that Democrats will eliminate the filibuster if they control the Senate, echoing the way he uses Barack Obama’s middle name, Hussein, as a way to question his legitimacy his American birth.

“Abdul El-Sayed, lovely gentleman, he’s a man of hate,” Trump said during a Las Vegas event on Wednesday. “And now he’s going around saying, “No, I love everybody. He doesn’t love everybody. Put him in office, you’re going to find out what he loves.”

Trump has also targeted him as a "communist" and called him "full of s**t."

Where's the lie? El-Sayed also has ties to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), even though he denies membership. They want full-blown communism and support El-Sayed, although the DSA stopped short of endorsing him.

Yeah, that guy.

This is the new version of "Republicans pounce."

Journalism, ladies and gentlemen.

Yes, he should be.

Politico does not care that he's extreme, or that he dismissed an attempt to kill Jewish preschoolers. He resists President Trump, and that's all it takes to win their vote.

Democrats have called President Trump and Republicans Hitler and Nazis for years, and not a single article in any outlet has been written about how the Democrats have a new bogeyman.

Watch what the Democrats do in 2028, whoever the Republican nominee is. He (or she) will be even worse than President Trump, who was literally Hitler. They already laid this groundwork in 2024, when it briefly looked as though Ron DeSantis might be the nominee. They were already saying he was worse than President Trump, and they'll do the same to Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, or DeSantis if he chooses to run again.

It's all so predictable and all so tedious.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
