Democrats have been trying to hide from their record on protecting girls and women from boys and men competing in sports and taking over their private spaces. Such an issue has been especially prevalent in top U.S. Senate races this cycle, as we've been covering in recent weeks. These candidates have certainly been helped by dubious "fact checks" and allies in the mainstream media. It's not merely affecting Senate races, but potentially the top of the ticket as well, in a race between former and potentially future President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, with similar woke LGBTQ causes taking center stage.
On Tuesday, however, NewsBusters' Curtis Houck put out a whole thread highlighting how ABC News' Rachel Scott, was ranting against Trump on "Good Morning America." Scott also had a rather memorably hostile interview with Trump when he appeared at the the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in late July.
In a particularly absurd moment, Scott claimed that "Trump and his allies [are] making false claims about transgender rights making it part of their closing message to voters," though Scott declines to say why those claims are "false." Scott also lamented how Republicans are "flooding the airwaves with ads casting Harris as extreme."
Even more laughable, Scott ranted about how "overnight, Trump also accused Harris of attacking religion, even after she visited two Georgia churches over the weekend." The segment conveniently left out how Harris skipped out on the Al Smith dinner benefiting Catholic charities to campaign in Wisconsin, where she also cackled as she told students who dared to proclaim that "Jesus is Lord" that they were at "the wrong rally." The visits to Georgia churches that Scott referenced were also part of a Democratic pandering trick attempting to get "souls to the polls."
If Scott's bias wasn't already so well-known, her comments might be regarded as a joke.

Harris was also asked about transgender individuals during her pre-taped interview with NBC News' Hallie Jackson. Even with such a friendly interviewer, it didn't turn out so well, including and especially on this question. In fact, it may have been one of Harris' most incompetent moments of the night.
Jackson asked Harris a direction question, and she gave the Democratic nominee plenty of leeway, as she was asking "very broadly here: do you believe that transgender Americans should have access to gender-affirming care in this country?"
Harris had barely gotten a sentence out before she started ranting about Trump, leading to crosstalk with Jackson, who tried to make it clear she was actually trying to help her, "They’re trying to define you on this," she pointed out, throwing out another lifeline. "I’m asking you to define yourself, though, just broadly speaking, what is your value? Do you believe they should have that access?"
Not only did Harris respond with another non-answer before going off about Trump again, she then started devolving into completely unrelated topics before Jackson tried to steer her back.
"I believe that people, as the law states, even on this issue about federal law, that that is a decision that doctors will make in terms of what is medically necessary. I’m not going to put myself in a position of a doctor," she stunningly offered. Harris then started talking about Trump and ObamaCare, as well as the price of insulin, and even the Department of Education.
Laughably, Harris then offered, "let’s not get distracted by the issues," after going off an a whole host of unrelated topics as she tried to answer an "introductory point" from Jackson, which still involved even more unrelated points.
While Jackson offered to "move on," she did make clear that Harris didn't provide an answer.
"I will move on, but I don’t know that I heard a clear answer from you on the issue of gender-affirming care," she said, which is putting it awfully politely. "It sounds like what you’re saying is there should be something between trans-Americans and their doctors? It feels like that’s a long way from 'we see you and we love you,' which was your message to trans-Americans in May? What do you want the LGBTQ plus community to know as they’re looking for a full throated backing from you for trans, for trans Americans?"
When she finally did answer, sort of, we heard more of Harris' frequent replies about how her values have "not changed."
"I believe that all people should be treated with dignity and respect, period, and should not be vilified for who they are, and should not be bullied for who they are. And that is a true statement for me my entire career. And that has not changed," she offered, before the interview indeed moved on.

Jackson brought up previous messages from Harris towards the LGBTQ community, but let's not forget that Harris is the sitting vice president of the Biden-Harris administration, which has placed quite the focus on this issue of "transgender rights," including when it comes to children.
President Joe Biden has also claimed that laws protecting children from going through so-called "gender-affirming care," or protecting girls' and women's sports, was "un-American."
"These are some of the ugliest, most un-American laws I’ve seen, and I’ve been here awhile. Many of them target transgender children, seeking to prevent them from receiving the appropriate medical care; for using the bathroom at high schools while they’re--the one where they’ll be most safe; even preventing them from joining sports teams with their classmates," the president angrily claimed.
There's been more than just words from the Biden-Harris White House, though. There was a move to completely rewrite Title IX to include "gender identity," thus completely upending protections for girls and young women. Republican states immediately brought lawsuits, and the House of Representatives voted to overturn such a rewrite.
The Equality Act, which Biden has called for repeatedly, would also allow for boys and men in girls' and women's spaces.
Trump, in strong contrast to Harris, has had no problem speaking about the issue. Bringing this back to religion and Harris' attacks on Christians, Trump brought up specific concerns about boys and men infiltrating girls' and women's sports during his 11th Hour Faith Event on Monday night in North Carolina.

Trump did so quite clearly during his Bloomberg interview last week as well, when he spoke about how the Republican Party is the party of "common sense," and referred to it as a "such an easy question" during his Fox News town hall when asked about protecting women's sports.
