Planned Parenthood’s federal Medicaid funding is scheduled to be restored in July pursuant to compromises in the One Big Beautiful Bill. Before Congress allows that to happen, it should understand exactly what Planned Parenthood is up to – and why its activities should be shut down rather than funded by American taxpayers.
Planned Parenthood made its billions as the nation’s largest purveyor of abortions. But state-level pro-life legislation, combined with the increasing replacement of surgical abortions with largely unregulated abortion pills (“DIY abortions”), has forced the abortion mega-mill to expand its services to keep the money rolling in.
A deep dive into Planned Parenthood’s sordid new business venture comes from Biological Integrity, a project of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) and the American Principles Project. ACPeds is quickly becoming the indispensable alternative to the anti-scientific leftism of the American Academy of Pediatrics and other politicized medical organizations.
The Biological Integrity project was launched last year “to protect children from the harms of transgender interventions” – an endeavor that led it directly to Planned Parenthood. Given Planned Parenthood’s vast experience in disrupting and corrupting the natural world of sex and family, it was inevitable that the stagnating abortion giant would refresh its product line with a suite of medical interventions marketed to individuals desperate to imitate the opposite sex. Bodily destruction and a lifetime of medicalization are now on the menu.
Biological Integrity’s newly released Fact Sheet compiles a mountain of evidence from dozens of sources to shine a light on Planned Parenthood’s growing complicity in providing “sex-rejecting procedures.” Prominent among these interventions is estrogen and testosterone hormone therapy. In fact, the Fact Sheet notes that as long ago as 2017, the organization boasted of being “the second-largest provider of opposite-sex [wrong-sex] hormones,” and its 2022-2023 Annual Report revealed that such medical interventions are available at 45 of 49 Planned Parenthood affiliates.

Other sex-rejecting services include puberty-blocking medications, surgery referrals, and social/legal support for patients seeking fruitless “transition” from one sex to the other. Planned Parenthood aspires to be truly a one-stop shop for all trans needs. The Fact Sheet cites promises of free chest-binders, informational resources for “gender affirming clothing sites,” health guides for those navigating the trans swamp, and instruction on “safe binding/tucking, voice training, and more.”
Nor are these services restricted to adult patients. The Fact Sheet reports that “Planned Parenthood exploits a loophole to affirm sex-identity distress of minor girls without parental consent by providing birth control to halt their periods.”
And while these interventions are exploding, the Fact Sheet points out that legitimate medical services such as pregnancy testing and testing for HIV and STDs are decreasing. Perhaps their profit margin is less favorable.
Compounding the malfeasance of offering these dangerous medical interventions is the troubling evidence that they’re being offered, even to minors, with little or no medical oversight. The Biological Integrity Fact Sheet cites an interview by journalist and researcher Abigail Shrier of a former Planned Parenthood employee who saw this new model of “care” up close in her small-city clinic.
This employee reported that her clinic had no doctors, only nurse practitioners, and no licensed counselors. Teen patients would speak with a “gender counselor” whose sole qualification was that he was a man pretending to be a woman. Planned Parenthood would then send his notes to an offsite licensed counselor for rubber-stamping so that the “transition” could begin. Specific interventions, such as hormone therapy, would be decided by the clinic manager whose prior experience was “managing a Wendy’s.”
According to this source, Planned Parenthood employees commonly ignored visible signs of abuse and obvious emotional problems when steering the teens to the trans conveyor belt. The employees never discussed medical risks of the interventions with patients, and the whistleblower never saw any patient actually read the written risk list before signing the consent form. This is what informed consent looks like at Planned Parenthood.
The whistleblower account offers a window into the real world of Planned Parenthood’s foray into lucrative trans mania. Maybe other Planned Parenthood clinics are more professional and actually assess a patient’s situation before initiating medicalization. Maybe the moon will fall out of the sky.
Biological Integrity’s Fact Sheet also focuses on another Planned Parenthood operation that feeds into its trans activities: providing sex-education curricula to schools, and training instructors to implement the sexually explicit programs, beginning in preschool. Indoctrinating even preschoolers with gender ideology will inevitably result in more customers for radical medical interventions down the road.
From a financial perspective, abortion (which might be one and done) could pale in comparison to lifelong hormones and lifelong reparative treatments for the ghastly complications of Frankensteinian interventions. Cha-ching.
The Biological Integrity project of ACPeds and the American Principles Project is an important new combatant in the struggle against the depravity of Planned Parenthood and all of the trans industry.
