A 'Trans' Athlete Caused Injuries in a Girls' Basketball Game. Here's How the School Responded.

A 'Trans' Athlete Caused Injuries in a Girls' Basketball Game. Here's How the School Responded.

A male athlete who identifies as a woman reportedly injured three female athletes in a girls’ basketball game earlier this month. As a result, the game ended in a forfeit, which Townhall covered.

The trans-identifying player for KIPP Academy in Massachusetts reportedly injured three girls at Collegiate Charter School of Lowell before halftime on Feb. 8. According to The Daily Wire, the male player who thinks he’s a girl is six feet tall and has facial hair. At the time, KIPP reportedly refused to confirm the player’s gender.

“A man hitting a woman used to be called domestic abuse. Now it's called brave,” women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines said on X.

“Who watches this & actually thinks this is ‘compassionate, kind, and inclusive?’” she added.

According to Fox News, in the aftermath of the basketball game, KIPP Academy seems more concerned about the male athlete’s feelings than the girls he reportedly injured.

"To the best of our knowledge, this student has never been on a men’s team at KIPP," Rhonda Barnes, the school’s executive director, told the Boston Globe, while also confirming the player identifies as transgender.

"The vision of KIPP Massachusetts is that every child grows up free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities," Barnes added. "To do this, we work to create joyful and identity-affirming schools for our students, and prioritize maintaining student and staff safety above everything else."

"We also support state laws and regulations, which provide students with the right to participate in all school extracurricular activities and sports based on their gender identity or expression," Barnes continued. "We condemn harmful comments being made online toward members of our community, and will continue to let the vision, mission and principles of our organization guide our actions."

In recent years, men who pretend that they’re women have infiltrated women’s sports, beauty pageants, makeup brands, clothing brands and more. Not to mention, these men are trying to use women’s restrooms and locker rooms with biological females.

Last month, a male sprinter who thinks he’s “transgender” set two women’s collegiate records at a recent event, which Townhall covered.

“The thing that never happens happened again,” Gaines wrote in response with a video of the male athlete competing. “Women's records mean nothing if they're set by men.”
