MAGA Voters Aren't the 'Hateful and Divisive' Ones

On May 21, 69-year-old Kerry Sheron, a veteran and Trump supporter, was brutally beaten outside his Escondido home. That home was known for its American flags and Trump signage, and pointed to a possible motive in the case: that Sheron was targeted because of his political beliefs. Sheron's wife, Maria, told the media that she believed the attack to be politically motivated.

Sheron, sadly, died on Memorial Day. His alleged attacker, 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler, has pleaded not guilty to charges including attempted murder, elder abuse, criminal threats, and battery. Those charges will undoubtedly be upgraded now that Sheron has succumbed to his injuries.

The list of Trump supporters who have been harassed, intimidated, and assaulted continues to grow. Now one of them is dead, and the response from the Democrats and media is not to stop attacking Trump supporters — more than 75 million of us voted for him in 2024 — but to double down on stochastic terrorism so we have even more Kerry Sherons.

Senator Chris Murphy did just that, joining 'The View' to call half of the country a 'divisive, hateful community.'

I'm sorry, Senator, but it's not MAGA folks who are beating their political opponents to death. It's not MAGA folks who are assaulting reporters in Minneapolis, trying to stop them from reporting on the Left's anti-American, pro-illegal immigration stance. It's not MAGA who are trying to assassinate Supreme Court Justices or Cabinet members.

The only time MAGA-hat-wearing folks committed a hate crime, they were paid by Jussie Smollett to pretend. Despite all the Left's bloviating about Republican rhetoric and President Trump's incitement to violence, the number of present-day Democrats who have been the targets of assassination attempts is zero.

That violence comes, exclusively, from the Left.

They're the ones who are vowing to weaponize the government — again — if they regain power. They are threatening to bring down the full weight of the federal government on any person or institution that didn't 'resist' Trump to their liking during this term. One Democrat wants to ban people like me from the Internet for four years, which means I will no longer have a job or a way to support my family. That, they believe, is justice and fairness. Because they simply don't like the way that I voted or the political opinions I've used.

They have used the FACE Act to throw pro-lifers in prison, tried to force Catholic nuns to pay for birth control and spent a decade dragging the Little Sisters of the Poor through the courts, are gearing up to do the same to the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne over transgender pronouns, and tried to make Catholic priests break the seal of the Confessional. The Biden DOJ even fantasized about putting nuns in prison for the 'crime' of wearing the traditional habit.

That's not 'hateful and divisive'? It sure seems like it is. And it has deadly consequences.

And Democrats like Chris Murphy and the ladies of 'The View' want more of that. By calling Republicans 'Nazis' and 'fascists' and 'hateful and divisive,' Democrats are creating a permission structure under which their supporters — many who are unstable and unwell — will be encouraged to commit violence against Republicans. Remember the whole 'punch a Nazi' movement from a few years ago? They didn't believe we were Nazis; they called us Nazis so they could justify punching us in the face. Or worse.
