Good morning from the great state of Wisconsin.
It's Election Day, and it sure feels like there's a lot on the line, doesn't it? None of us knows where this day is headed — my colleague Matt Vespa said the GOP retains control of Congress, however — but I will say this: I have 2024 vibes from this election.
What are "2024 vibes," you ask?
Well, while all the polls showed Kamala Harris winning six of the seven swing states, that she'd take Iowa by three, and that Doug Emhoff might as well start picking out curtains for the Oval Office, my gut told me: we got this. The election exceeded my expectations.
There are signs and reasons to be hopeful for today, too.

It’s a population concentrated in the most important swing county, and it votes in extremely high numbers. Michigan’s Jewish voters are massively impactful and Stevens and El-Sayed both know it. https://t.co/QmSEgf07WR

Even NBC News's Steve Kornacki said Democrats are far more unpopular than Republicans.

Of course, political parties that are…less than beloved can still win midterm elections, sometimes handily. Unpopular Dems are favored for a reason. But some of the final NBC data will loom large if R’s defy the odds/CW and over-perform. https://t.co/DFiCRxhVjV

But one of the few who accurately predicted President Trump's win in 2024 agrees with Vespa that the GOP retains control of Congress.
This is one of the few guys that accurately predicted a Trump victory in 2024. And he's very optimistic about Republican chances in the midterm.

I can't imagine this is right, but I pray it is. https://t.co/eLNDgynv2H
He has Republicans up in the House 220-215 and 55 to 45 in the Senate. He also has GOP governors in 28 states.

May it be so.
Predicting a GCB of D+4.5 to 7 btw

But a very unfriendly electoral map and serious candidate quality issues will sink Democrats' hopes of taking the Senate. https://t.co/peps38UvH9
Moser has the Senate 53-47.
Right on cue, the "final polls" all show the Republicans winning

It's political malpractice for polling companies to release bulls**t coal polls for months designed to suppress Republican enthusiasm, only to show the Republican winning at the 11th hour to claim "our final poll… https://t.co/BegP8MIyaN
If the GOP wins, it will destroy the polling industry, and I plan to cover that later today.
But right now, what we need is for every single one of you to go vote. My son, 19, is going to vote, he's taking my mother with him. Her health isn't great and her mobility is a challenge, but she's going. If she can do it, so can you. When I was with a friend on Friday celebrating the Brewers win, she expressed dismay about the state of the state and I told her to go vote Republican. She said she would.
Tell a friend or two. Make sure your elderly relatives have a ride to the polls. Get in line, stay in line, and cast your ballot.
We are winning.

Go vote. pic.twitter.com/l0YlSgYzfI
We can win this. We just have to show up.
