Spend any time on X, and you might think that American forces in the Middle East are verging on collapse. Mighty Iran has defeated us soundly, and we have accomplished nothing except wasting American lives.
Why would someone think this? Damned if I know, but the leftists on social media and much of cable news sure seem to think so. That's what they keep saying, at least, with them absolutely losing their minds over an F-15 being shot down and taking it as proof that Iran is going to emerge victorious.
Never mind that they likely used a shoulder-fired missile to take down the plane, and that's the most likely scenario since that's literally all they have left to shoot at our aircraft. Never mind that their air force looks like it had a close encounter with the aliens from Independence Day. Never mind that their navy consists of coral reefs and dreams at this point.
We have lost a few planes, though the crews have all survived, and a small handful of people, but we've killed more of their senior government and military personnel than they've killed of ours in total, but it's a defeat for America.
Why? Because they just hate Donald Trump that much.
The truth is, the Left isn't really that worried about whether we're really winning or losing. They just want everyone to think we're losing because it hurts Trump. That's it. They wanted to see that F-15 shot down. They wanted the pilot and weapons systems officer to be captured or killed. They want to see more American bloodshed, all because it lets them make the case for defeat that much more easily.
Let's understand that the ideal outcome would be no loss of material or personnel, yet it's an ideal that I don't think any military has ever achieved in the history of mankind.
Instead, we're seeing as good as it can get. We've lost 15 brave American lives, which is tragic to say the least, but we've also killed around 6,000 of theirs, including blowing up three ayatollahs. While I won't make light of those American lives, the truth is that this sure looks pretty damn lopsided.
But the Left wants the American people to feel like we're accomplishing nothing, because that's when the public starts demanding an end to hostilities. They could rally behind Trump and agree that a nuclear Iran is a threat to the world, then push to force a winning solution, but that would mean a victory for Trump. They can't have that, and their hatred for Trump is so severe that they'd rather see America be defeated than Trump look good for even half a second.
So, they amplify Iranian propaganda and bite every bit of AI slop the regime peddles as absolute truth. They pretend that the Iranians are absolute bada**es because they put out a video that looked like an airsoft group's recruiting video on YouTube and swoon at the idea that these guys are the best, but then ignore them being blown up by American forces five minutes later.
What we're seeing is the most one-sided engagement I can ever recall seeing in my lifetime, and they're ready to celebrate defeat simply because they can't stand the idea of America winning if Trump is in charge.
Meanwhile, if they were calling the shots still, they'd have sent over another plane load of cash with a polite note asking them not to build nukes with a "pretty please?" thrown in for spice.
They simply aren't bothered about a nuclear Iran, and they're doing everything they can to make sure that happens.
Even knowing that Americans will die as a result of that.
Honestly, the Left is Iran's greatest ally in this fight. There's no question about it.
