China’s President Xi Jinping arrives in San Francisco for a summit on Wednesday, November 15 as a growing political consensus is calling for an American “decoupling” from its fiercest competitor. But key members of a powerful global elite are not only resisting a decoupling but are also pressing for America to become more like its Communist adversary.
Controligarchs: Exposing the Billionaire Class, Their Secret Deals, and the Globalist Plot to Dominate Your Life documents in detail that the power brokers in Washington, DC, on Wall Street, and in Silicon Valley do not see the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as an adversary or even as a threatening competitor. Rather, the CCP is their partner and friend.
This troubling fact—that the American political class and its benefactors among the American elite admire China’s autocratic power and bureaucratic efficiency—is demonstrated time and again by their actions and their words. Put simply: they are the oligarchs who want to control your life. And they want to do it in CCP style.
President Joe Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom are not the only admirers for their Chinese cronies. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft’s Bill Gates have all cozied up to the CCP. And like the Biden family, they have gotten very wealthy by doing so.
On Thursday, Meta announced that it would be returning to China after a 14-year hiatus. Its founder, Zuckerberg, keeps a copy of Xi’s writings on his desk and offered the Communist leader the odd honor of choosing a Mandarin name for his first-born child (Xi declined).
Bezos built his personal fortune—more than $165 billion according to the latest Forbes estimate—that some argue was off the backs of Chinese laborers and the outsourcing of American manufacturing. His workers in America complain of labor camp working conditions.

For his part, Gates and his software companies have facilitated the crackdown on dissent in China. During the pandemic, Gates acknowledged that some level of pandemic “misinformation” fact-checking is needed but said “you don’t want to get to the full Chinese solution” with a propaganda department and censorship. At the same time, he praised the CCP’s pandemic response on China’s state-run media network.
China’s brutal “Zero-COVID” policy saw millions of residents in cities like Shanghai locked in their homes, even after the “milestone” for reopening had been reached.
The book shows that World Economic Forum (WEF) front man Klaus Schwab takes great pride in that he and a coterie of Western economists helped develop China’s brutally efficient system—termed “state-run capitalism”—starting in the 1970s. Schwab’s Harvard mentor Henry Kissinger was instrumental in shackling the US to the Chinese economy and, having made a mint advising Western companies working with China, defends that effort to this day.
The promise to make China more like the West by coupling the American and Chinese economies proved empty. In fact, the opposite happened: the West has become more like China. And the business and political interests who made those empty promises did not do so for purely economic reasons.
When the elite forces in Washington, Wall Street, and Silicon Valley combine, they can effectively bring about a CCP-style social-credit-score system. The COVID-19 lockdowns, proof of vaccinations, and ongoing crackdowns on dissent have shown that.
And while the pandemic may seem like a distant memory, it was, in fact, a blueprint for the future.
