James Carville said, “She’s going to get slaughtered,” and he may be right. But I don’t trust anything Carville says any more than I do any other Democrat. He may be—and probably is—trying to scare Democratic Party voters and motivate them into voting in big numbers. I don’t trust polls, so I don’t really know what’s happening in the minds and hearts of the American people, though the majority of polls either have Trump ahead or a very tight race at the moment.
I know, from history, that Kamala Harris is probably going to get at least 40% of the vote, because, for the last 100 years, the candidates from both parties almost always have a “base” of 40% that votes for them (read about that here). Trump will get his 40%, Harris will get her 40%, and the election will be resolved by the 20% left over. That’s history, though history doesn’t prove the future, of course.
I also know that Kamala Harris is the most far-left candidate that either major political party has ever nominated (assuming she gets the nomination). Her record proves that. She has recently been trying to move towards the “center.” She has now said she won’t ban fracking or try to confiscate people’s guns, but she’s on record on both of those issues—she wants to ban fracking and has a gun “buy back” program. If she tried to say, “I’ve changed my mind on those issues,” she would offend her radical Leftist base and would surely be lying anyway.
Harris doesn’t strike any thinking person as being highly intelligent. She’s not a very accomplished public speaker, she doesn’t think very well on her feet, and her cackling laugh is irritating, but those three things really don’t disqualify her from the Presidency. Her record and her character are what the American people need to look at—what kind of person is she (ask Willie Brown), and how would she govern. Her history says she’s a self-centered, ambitious, amoral Leftist who would govern to the left of Joe Biden, if that is even possible. It’s up to the Republicans to expose that history and convince a majority of the 20% of Americans who aren’t already committed to voting either Republican or Democrat that Donald Trump would be a far better choice as President of the United States. That is what the next three months are all about.
But Kamala is not without her weapons. She has some distinct advantages, and if Republicans think that her cackling laugh and bumbling word salads make the election a shoo-in for Trump, then, well, I hope we will not be overconfident. As Kurt Schlichter has said, we need to work now as if we were 10 points behind. I agree with that 100%. Trump hasn’t won anything yet, and any naivety within our ranks could put Kamala Harris in the White House.
I see three “advantages” Kamala has. Let me enumerate them.
1. The “mainstream media,” (including Google) and the Deep State are wholly in her camp. In the next three months, we are going to see a propaganda onslaught on the American people that will make Joseph Goebbels look like an incompetent bungler. It’s already started, of course. They are covering for her, lying for her, rewriting history for her, not to mention intensifying their attacks on the Trump-Vance ticket, and that is only going to get worse in the coming weeks. In the next three months, Kamala Harris will be presented to the American people as the Mother of God, perfection personified. There is nothing the media will not say or do to defend her and get her elected. Nothing. They are desperate to keep Trump out of the White House, and they have already taken off the gloves and completely thrown their non-existent honor and morality to the wind. It’s going to get brutal. Be prepared.
2. Kamala also will be advantaged by the horrible American education system. By that I mean, the ignorance and stupidity of rising numbers of American people. I don’t like to be ugly and say things like that, but the obvious can’t be denied, either. Adolf Hitler once said, “There are no end of stupid people in the world,” and he ought to have known, it was the total basis for his rise to power. He did exactly what I am talking about in these first two points—he trusted his propaganda media (led by Joseph Goebbels) to convince this “no end of stupid people” that his idiotic, unhinged, ludicrous Aryan philosophy was true. It worked. He came to power democratically. It is the same process that Harris and Democrats are now employing. Get a radical candidate elected by a media onslaught which bamboozles enough illiterate voters. It happened in Germany in 1933, and it could happen in America in 2024. Don’t think it can’t. Remember 2020.
3. The third advantage that Harris has is the one that scares me the most, and it’s historical, too, and that is the Leftward drift of the country for the last 60 years. This is not the same, traditional, Judeo-Christian based country that it was when I, and many of you, were growing up. The “zeitgeist” of most Americans living today is not rooted in godliness and virtue, it’s rooted in pleasure, licentiousness, perversion, and selfishness, and that is exactly the kind of people that Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party appeal to and try to get into their coalition. She is a perfect representation of it. She IS Modern America. And the Democrats have had great success exploiting this current “zeitgeist.” I have asked before, and I will ask again: Are there enough decent, God-fearing Americans left in the country to keep Leftism from taking over the nation? And I don’t know the answer to that question. This election will probably tell us.
