Senator Cathy Giessel represents Alaska citizens in District N. This covers East Anchorage, Anchorage Hillside, and Turnagain Arm.
Senator Giessel is one of the most qualified people to serve in our State Senate. During the 4 years she has served in the State Senate, Senator Giessel has effectively represented the people of Eagle River, Hope, Seward, Moose Pass, Cooper Landing, Sterling and Nikiski, as well the Anchorage Hillside and East Anchorage.
She is a proven and capable problem-solver who has addressed diverse issues in energy, resource development and healthcare. She is the chair of the Senate Resources committee, while maintaining her professional work as a nurse practitioner.
Senator Giessel’s driving motivation comes from being a lifelong Alaskan, with 4 generations of her family living here. She is focused on a vibrant Alaska economy where healthy Alaska families can prosper and enjoy all Alaska has to offer.
