Okay, we need to make the call: Whenever the media are the last ones to a story, they cannot call it “news.” This certainly applies to the main issue swirling in the press environment regarding the “revelations” about Joe Biden and his diminishing mental faculties. It has been intolerable to listen to the attempts by journalists to recalibrate their involvement in the coverup of President Silver Alert for four years.

As a result of the book “Original Sin” by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, many in the media are pretending all of the details coming out have come as a complete surprise, despite the fact most people with a functioning brain pan were completely aware of his condition. Now comes the newest exposé delivered in the safe cover of a post-election environment: Karine Jean-Pierre was not really any good at her job!

This latest non-bombshell report is delivered by Mr. Thompson, after speaking with former White House members detailing their experience working with Ms. Jean-Pierre, and we have learned she was quite a mess as the White House Press Secretary. Excuse me, a small correction is needed; Alex Thompson has come to learn this, as it has been apparent to most people that KJP was well out of her depth in that role.

The laughable news this week was that Karine has struck a book deal and is shedding her label of being a Democrat, claiming she is now an independent and willing to speak truth to power against the spread of misinformation. The woman who was a literal firehose of lies and deception from the podium in the press room is now complaining about the puddles of misinformation left behind.

Thompson has a collection of former White House staffers coming forward with inside details of what it was like to work under or alongside Jean-Pierre and the specifics are not the kind of elements she would want included in a resume.

  • One former White House official who worked closely with Jean-Pierre told Axios that she "was one of the most ineffectual and unprepared people I've ever worked with. ... She had meltdowns after any interview that asked about a topic not sent over by producers."

  • "She didn't know how to manage a team, didn't know how to shape or deliver a message, and often created more problems than she solved."

  • Another former White House official familiar with the dynamics told Axios: "The amount of time that was spent coddling [Jean-Pierre] and appeasing her was astronomical compared to our attention on actual matters of substance."

This Axios report from Thompson becomes the latest example of the press becoming exposed by the insistence that NOW they are committing acts of journalism. For this piece, he managed to speak to over two dozen White House operatives. Now, yes, there is the reality that these are people willing to speak out, now that there is no longer a risk to their career with the administration, but where was this dogged work by the reporter the previous four years?

This echoes the effort he and Tapper have touted during their promotional tour, stating they worked with over 200 people for sourcing in the writing of their book. Again, all of this took place only after the election; the previous four years saw a fraction of that effort applied to their vocation, with Tapper shown frequently fighting against that type of reporting.

This now stands as another example of what the press refused to cover objectively, something that was readily apparent to the general public. Alex Thompson arrives to officially go on the record that KJP was not a worthwhile selection as White House Press Secretary – now that it is safe to bravely report these details.

Editor's Note: Here at Townhall, we all knew that Karine Jean-Pierre was incompetent. It was clear for all to see. Now, the Democrats are turning on one another. We say let them fight.
