First Amendment Strike Force – GOOGLE / FACEBOOK

  • These technical errors always seem to trend in the same direction.

It has long been the case that the social media and search engine rulers have a decidedly left-wing bent to their operations. Not only are these tech titans biased, but they are also actively working against one political party. At NewsBusters, it was found that Google was suppressing returns to Donald Trump’s campaign account, including during the Republican National Convention. But more disturbingly, it was discovered that these sites are muzzling details of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

When using Google search, the autofill function was not delivering returns on the recent event. This was occurring with differing prompts to find the information.

On Facebook, many users were receiving notices that their sharing of the now-iconic photo of Donald Trump raising his fist after being shot was being blocked. It was reported that fact-checkers allegedly determined the photo was somehow altered, and therefore, it was being hidden from timelines.

In both instances, the companies claimed that these results were made in error and then steps were taken to remove whatever process had been in place to restrict the information.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – NBC NEWS

  • If this is somehow racist, then shouldn’t Biden be in trouble?

As the media lovefest for Kamala Harris continues, another refinement to her history is coming to light. There is a severe conflict taking place with her campaign, and within the media complex, where her race is something that needs to be touted and promoted, while also being something others (specifically those on the right) cannot point out in any fashion.

NBC News has fallen in line with the Harris campaign's directive to stipulate that anyone commenting on Harris being a DEI hire is trending into racist territory.

What the network is choosing to avoid with this type of charge is that not only had Joe Biden declared he was selecting his running mate specifically based on her being a black woman, but he gave a speech and talked forcefully about the glorious act of DEI hiring after he chose Harris, specifically citing her as the embodiment of this effort.

Presentation Paradox – HUFFINGTON POST

  • This almost sounds like a case of "Schrodinger's Race."

In what might be a perfect example of the paradox the press has established regarding Kamala – celebrating her race while denigrating those noting her race – we have Christina Blacken struggling with this issue at The Huffington Post. She runs directly into the contradiction with the desire to push DEI as a positive but then wails if someone points out DEI hiring practices and claims this is a denigration of the individual and probably intolerant.

This leads to the problem; they want to say DEI is a positive, but if you point out someone is a DEI hire then that is racist, but this leads to the unintended conclusion that the practice of DEI hiring is racist. Here is part of Blacken’s explanation:

Conservative leaders will often create slurs their followers run with that signal the darkest parts of folks fears: That people who they believe are inherently incapable are taking away their rightful positions of power. Somehow for those people, DEI ― which actually means creating practices, policies and behaviors that create better financial, mental and physical outcomes that benefit everyone, including white men ― is interchangeably used as a derogatory alternative for the N-word.

Blacken runs into another contradiction in her condescension; she complains about prejudice while lapsing into the practice herself. (Note that all “conservative leaders” are behind this practice, not individuals.) The conclusion in all of this:

  • Democrats Declare Kamala a DEI Hire = GREAT

  • Republicans Declare Kamala a DEI Hire = HATEFUL RACISM

Pounce of Prevention – THE HILL

  • This reporting is so dependable that they are now resorting to preemptive pouncing!

The best of the “Republicans Pounce” narrative is that reporters believe this somehow distracts from the underlying details of what the Democrats are doing. Somehow, the concept of Republicans noticing something is meant to negate the very thing they've noticed.

The Hill managed to hit a new low in this effort by not only commenting on what it is certain that Republicans will do (notify people that Kamala Harris has changed her position numerous times), but the effort here implies that it is somehow wrong for a political party to take political items and politically use them during a political campaign for political office.

Reporting on the Mirror – CBS NEWS

  • After five years of not moving the needle, a national anchor steps away.

The announcement was made that Norah O’Donnell will step down from her national anchor position at “CBS Evening News,” following the November election. It is not made clear if this decision has anything to do with the recent sale of the network’s parent company, Paramount, to Skydance, and/or the recent departure of CBS News President Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews.

O’Donnell’s exit comes after a troubled tenure, one in which she was facing internal pressure a few years ago, as the network was outwardly courting Brian Williams to step in and replace her at the anchor desk. When Norah took over the nightly anchor role, “CBS Evening News” was the third-place rated broadcast, and it has remained in that position for her half-decade tenure.
