Pathological Media Amnesia – ABC NEWS
The Believe All Women-Do Not Victim Shame-#MeToo crowd sure has a fluid set of standards.
On his Sunday ambush show, George Stephanopoulos had on Nancy Mace to discuss the issue of rapes, but then the host crudely asked Mace - herself a rape victim - how she can support Donald Trump, after the episode she endured.
It is bad enough for a journalist to place politics over decency in this fashion, but frame this around the other argument seen in the media right now – that being the manner that calling a suspected murderer an “illegal immigrant” is somehow offensive to the violent individual.

Do you all realize this is basically the same thing?!
Given that calling illegal immigrants what they actually are - namely, “illegal” - is controversial, Rhode Island local station WPRI opted to concoct a new euphemism to accurately describe what they are not allowed to describe, lest they anger the Democrat Party using a disapproved talking point.

Gilded Reframe – THE ATLANTIC
Media writer Paul Farhi covers a topic that is at least considered important about the press and some of the threats posed by government forces. However, it brings up the image of bending down to fret about mice, as elephants are stampeding around.
Paul brings up the subject of the press being “bullied” (a phrase that makes us groan, considering the same press considers themselves to be brave firemen, or soldiers storming Normandy), but he appears a bit too fine in his focus. He is covering the issue of select local news outlets that have come under direct challenges by regional political authorities for reporting on particular news stories, again - valid on the face.
But the larger issue with his piece is that there is a larger issue – namely a larger threat, that being the federal government.
It seems quite a large blindspot in that in complaining about threats to the press and the 1st Amendment there was zero mention of Biden’s DOJ just having arrested journalist Steve Baker. There is also the matter of a judge’s ruling last year commanding the Biden administration to stop the practice of compelling social media companies to trample on the free expression of citizens.
Bullying the press: At a time of financial weakness and flagging public support, it’s easier than ever. Latest by me in @TheAtlantic:

Low-Octane Gaslighting – MSNBC
Potential threats loom larger than current actions.
In a very similar fashion, we have the namesake of “Morning Joe”, Scar-Joe himself, once again attempting to fear-monger with his audience over what Donald Trump just might do if he were to be reelected.
That is to say, he is warning people Trump could possibly do the things Joe Biden is actually doing, right now!
Like Orban, Trump hates the press and anyone who checks his power. And like Orban, Trump will target, harass, and arrest press members if he returns to power. https://t.co/iHrLLeVBcb

Reporting on the Mirror – DEADSPIN
Seems there is little market for this kind of disturbed “sports reporting”.
Today we remind you about the website Deadspin. This would be the hive of villainy where they recently found themselves in legal trouble when a race-centric writer decided to go after a 9-year-old sports fan at an NFL game, accusing the tyke of hatred towards blacks and Native Americans. That the young lad had team colors, and not blackface, was Problem #2. That he is a Native American himself is problem #3. That writer Carron Phillips went after a 9-year-old boy with accusations of racism was Problem #1.
Well, the news has come in that the site has been sold, and the staff has been told they are not being retained at all by the new management, and found they were immediately cut off from the company Slack channel and denied access to work devices.
Staff at Deadspin just received an email informing them that the company has been sold to a European firm, and none of them will be retained.

Anti-Social Media – NEW YORK MAGAZINE
Considering the percentage of the population this involves, placing it on the front cover seems excessive.
Yes, the media is at its sexualized hysterics yet again Musch like recently when Rolling Stone had Kristen Stewart’s masturbatory plans on a cover photo, New York Magazine blasts this headline in bold type on its front banner.
So next time you hear anyone try to suggest people on the right are obsessed with these topics, bring up this cover as a reminder for them how we are being made to care about such topics.
