Democratic Custodial Services – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • It's almost as if Hunter does not want the media to help him!

As the press has long been desperate to defend and excuse away Hunter Biden's numerous legal troubles, one of the prevailing defenses made also has made little sense. For some reason, a common deflection trotted out has been, "But that was back when he was addicted to drugs…" Somehow, the effort has been to diminish his illegal activity by citing…other legal activity?

Now comes a new report from the DOJ that analysis of his leather gun holster shows it had cocaine residue. This undermines their defenses of the recidivist and cements his gun application violation.

Both Kinds of Standards – THE NEW YORK TIMES

One of the enduring yet oft-proven wrong summations in the press is that some actions or comments by conservative political figures will result in an outbreak of violence. That threat, as always, is considered worse than the actual violence seen on the left. (See the current Pro-Palestinian protests as a key example.)

Now, The New York Times has gone further. After it delivered a hand-wringing editorial on right-wing violence a few months ago, the very same paper has platformed an eco-terrorist and theorizes whether there is justification for violence on behalf of the climate agenda.

Reporting on the Mirror – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • When killing a paper and eliminating publishing jobs are preferable to conservative ownership.

The news that the struggling Baltimore Sun newspaper was getting saved with a new purchase has not been met with happy reactions. For all of the mewling and crying about local papers dying off, it would be understandable to think they would like to hear this paper is being saved.

Nope. The purchase was made by David D. Smith, the owner of Sinclair Broadcasting Group, and since he is deemed a conservative, this is said to be bad news for the paper's fortunes.

Anti-Social Media – THE BULWARK

  • With their knee on the pulse of politics.

It has been a while since we have heard anything interesting or worthwhile from the gang of NT-obsessives at The Bulwark. (Okay, okay – "ever," but still…) Certainly, with a new year and an election season gearing up, they will have some pertinent coverage and reports of note that would be important enough to –...

Oh, hell, nevermind.
