News Avoidance Syndrome – ASSOCIATED PRESS

In a remarkable dose of desperation and obliviousness, Associated Press reporter Brian Slodysko has uncovered what he thinks is a vital story. Brian looked at the expanding investigation of Joe Biden's questionable dealings, Hunter Biden's indictment, the congressional subpoena, and the mounting list of evidence of suspicious money transactions with their family, and decided the best course of action: He went and investigated House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer's finances.

Slodysko looked into Comer's records and discovered, considering all of the talk about the Biden family's numerous shell corporations, James Comer has a shell company as well! Of course, this also means heavy doses of delusion and deflection taking place. To say there are a number of problems with Brian's exposé is putting it lightly.

For one, he provides no wrongdoing. Next, Comer's shell corporation is a registered LLC. Of Comer's extensive real estate portfolio, concerning over 1,600 acres declared in his finances, Slodysko found six acres are possessed by this LLC. As for how exactly this is supposedly compared to Hunter Biden hoovering millions of dollars from multiple countries, this, too, is not addressed.

Also not addressed: If Comer having this "shell company" is considered wrong, why do we not see nearly this much effort applied to the network of shell companies in the Biden family? (Given we know this answer already, the question qualifies as rhetorical.)

Both Kinds of Standards – NBC NEWS

If you need any more evidence that the press has an imbalanced hatred for Elon Musk, this supposedly important safety report on the new Tesla Cybertruck should convince you. According to a consumer expert they found, this new vehicle is a death machine. Behold this stunted conclusion:

Michael Brooks, executive director of the Center for Auto Safety — a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization — said the Cybertruck poses a variety of threats to pedestrians.

The primary factor is that the Cybertruck weighs about 2,500 pounds more than some conventional pickups. This is due to the weight of the batteries. Also, the Tesla can achieve 0-60 in less than three seconds, making it more dangerous but also making it sound so much more awesome.

Quick question for Mr. Brooks and NBC News: What motor vehicle can collide with a pedestrian and we see that the pedestrian comes away unscathed?

Blue-Anon – MSNBC

It is amazing how fluid the hyperactive reactionary standards are in the media. Just for a moment, imagine the hysterics if someone on the Republican ticket had come forward to say that the funding of a foreign war effort was vital, or else it would lead to our foreign influences altering the election results. That person would be strung up in digital effigy on graphics for any news network as being a threat to our democracy.

But if it is one of the primetime pundits on MSNBC, it transforms into intellectual cautionary tales on what is to come unless we act appropriately.

Chris Hayes looked at the GOP effort to tie future Ukraine war funding to border control efforts. To most people, this is a rational way of coupling our own self-preservation to dumping untold billions into an endless war campaign, but to Hayes, this is a dire plot that could lead to the 2024 general election becoming corrupted! How, you might ask? Well, try to follow Chris' emotional logic.

The GOP is not cutting blank checks to Zelenskyy → This makes Vladimir Putin happy → Vlad now likes Republicans → Putin will do anything he can to get Republicans elected in 2024.

So, Chris is essentially saying this will be a repeat of the Russian collusion, which did not take place in the 2016 election. Perfectly sane and rational thinking, not wild conspirational fever-dream blather that normally would be declared election denialism.

DNC PR Firm – CNN

Love him or loathe him, at times, you do have to give proper praise to Vivek Ramaswamy when he lays into the press in proper fashion. Last night, he had a town hall over at CNN hosted by Abby Phillip, and it was rather clear that Abby was not so interested in giving the candidate a platform to display his agenda as she was in promoting and preserving her network's agenda.

More than once she would attempt to cut off Ramaswamy or steer the conversation away from uncomfortable statements he was making. The most glaring example revolved around – what else? – January 6.

Repeatedly, Phillip looked to dissuade Vivek from continuing on topics of FBI involvement in the riot and of the Gretchen Whitmer kidnap plot that went awry. He would have none of it, forging ahead with his statements and laying out the very details she and CNN do not want to see broadcast.

Pre-Written Field Reports – MSNBC

  • When you think you are clever without doing the homework…

Joy Reid really felt she had cornered an Israeli spokesman regarding the efforts of the IDF in Gaza. In wanting to snare him, she managed instead to get herself hemmed in and looking ridiculous.

She posed the challenge to the representative about whether the Israelis would be willing to bomb a hospital where Hamas was headquartered, if that hospital were located inside of Israel, as opposed to being situated in Gaza. She was calmly and professionally shown to be completely bat-crap crazy here. Primarily it showed she was still of the belief that Israel has bombed Palestinian hospitals, something that has been proven wildly incorrect, to the embarrassment of numerous news organizations.

It was then explained that the IDF was conducting ground assaults at these hospitals, not bombing them, so her premise dissipated faster than a vape cloud. Of course, unspoken is that for her to even pose this challenge, she is effectively admitting that Hamas does, in fact, station itself inside of hospital locations, something many in the press and her network are desperate to deny.
