We all grew up understanding the maxim,"if at first you don't succeed, try, try again." However, that maxim was intended to provide encouragement to learn from previous failures while showing perseverance. In the military we were taught to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Sadly, today there are those who have embraced Albert Einstein's pure definition of insanity, "Do the same thing over and over again, expecting different results." Those people have evidenced themselves to be the progressive socialist left, aka the Democrat party, the political establishment, and their media accomplices.
This past week gave us another episode of "Lifestyles of the Stuck on Stupid". There can be no debate on the subject, the leftist gremlins in America want Donald Trump gone. And much the same as Wylie Coyote, they just can't seem to succeed at their intended objective.
First, we were fed a constant nonstop diet of Russia collusion. Congressman Eric Swalwell went so far as to assert that Donald Trump was a Russian agent, while the Dems ignored Swalwell’s relationship with a Chinese spy named Fang Fang. No, you can't make this stuff up. Who will ever forget the dubious Adam Schiff and his incessant rantings about how they had Trump. There was the infamous Steele dossier that was produced and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign, "I am Hillary Clinton and I approve this stupidity." Don't forget that the FBI was so on top of their game that they bought into that farce hook, line, and sinker.
The left tried to impeach Trump twice, and the second was most absurd, over a phone call with the leader of Ukraine over support. Hmm, I remember when Ukraine wanted support, Barack Obama sent them MREs and socks.
They have gone after Trump's business, his family, and just recently decided to go after his wife's wardrobe. Just like the Roadrunner's archnemesis who wanted a meal, the left's desire is to see Donald Trump in shackles. We used to watch Looney Tunes for laughter, but these looney tunes are far more serious...which brings us to the most recent episode.
The boldness and audacity to conduct a raid against a former U.S. President at his private residence indicates that the left has no limits. Despite President Trump’s cooperation with the government to secure important documents, the Biden Administration used a pre-dawn raid. They want us to believe that Donald Trump has violated the Espionage Act. Really? They want us to believe, once again, that Trump is an agent for a foreign entity? Those claims were found to be a hoax long ago. They want us to believe that nuclear codes, which are routinely changed, were somehow kept at Mar-a-Lago? If this was such an immediate threat to national security then why did Merrick Garland and a federal magistrate, a serious Trump Derangement Syndrome patient, allow a two-week window to execute said warrant...and the FBI waited over a weekend to execute the warrant?
This action has collateral effects for the American people. We now know that justice in America, according to the left, is not blind. There is a two-tiered system of justice in America which is horrifically unconstitutional. On the same day of the raid at Mara Lago, the White House staged a photo op of Joe Biden boarding Air Force One with son Hunter Biden heading to vacay in a $20 million mansion in South Carolina. The message to the American people could not have been clearer as Hunter, who seems to be protected by the FBI, boarded for all to see.
And let's not forget the thousands of emails destroyed, after a subpoena directive, by Hillary Clinton, including destruction of government computer hardware and bleaching. If this fishing expedition against Donald Trump is about classified information, then why was nothing done against Hillary Clinton for having an unsecured personal server in her private home, which had classified information, freely hackable by foreign entities?
The actions of the DOJ and FBI, along with the funding of $80 billion of American taxpayer funds for 87,000 new IRS agents, who must be comfortable carrying a weapon and using deadly force, signals danger to the American people. Merrick Garland sent a message to all of us that if we do not like what they are doing and criticize it, he will not stand by and take it.
Leftist control in America is a cancer that has metastasized into a very dangerous disease that threatens the fabric of our republic. The FBI has written a policy that patriotic symbols such as the Betsy Ross, Gadsden, and Gonzales (Texas) flags, two of which hang in my home, are extremist symbols. Yes, symbols of our fight for independence are now deemed extremist. We must not be intimidated but stand firm. We cannot allow the weaponizing of our government against us.
The progressive socialist left stupidly keeps going after Trump...but their real targets are all of us who believe in the Constitution and love our country. As executive director of the American Constitutional Rights Union, I can assure you, we will never stop defending the Constitution and the freedoms we hold dear.
