While “only” 3,000 Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians caused the death of 1,200 Israelis, the injury of another 5,400 and the capture of an additional 246, large swaths of Muslims throughout the world support the 10/7 slaughter and wish for more.

There are many fine Muslim citizens in Israel and the West. Some serve in the IDF and others, like Yoseph Haddad, fight tirelessly for the truth, Israel, and the safety of the West. But much of the Muslim world wishes to eradicate Israel, the Jews and Western democracies. For those living in host countries who have oftentimes given them refuge and a chance to succeed, a lack of gratitude is ungracious. Here in Israel, I always stand in amazement watching various Arab Knesset members (oops, so much for apartheid), badmouthing Israel, or visiting Syria or praising anti-Israel groups like Hamas or Hezbollah. One such fellow fled the country as he was outed as a Hezbollah spy. But look at Ilhan Omar: she just went out and said that her loyalty is to Somalia and Muslims. The United States government that pays her salary or the citizens of her district who gave her the job of a lifetime did not make the cut for her expressed appreciation.

After the 9/11 attacks, it took years for some Muslim clergy to finally issue a “fatwa” against Bin Laden for his murder of American civilians. Has anyone made a fatwa against Hamas or its leaders? While some Muslim countries did come out initially against the 10/7 massacre, they mostly blame Israel for causing a genocide of the Palestinian people, a pure blood libel against the only democratic state in the region. Firstly, Hamas started the war and all death and destruction are on its tab. Secondly, Israel has every right to destroy its enemies who, like the cowards that they are, hide amongst the Gazan civilians. There is no genocide. There should be complete flooding of the tunnels and total destruction of Hamas infrastructure wherever it may be—including UNRWA facilities, UNRWA being the official SS bureau of the United Nations.

The West is filled with large numbers of Muslims who ultimately are happy that Hamas decapitated babies, burned families alive, and raped and mutilated hundreds of Jewish women. This is not an exercise in mind-reading. Many of them fill the streets by the thousands or even tens of thousands in calls for the destruction of Israel and the over seven million Jews living between the river and the sea. They deface posters of the hostages, one at Harvard with the wording next to a picture of a captured baby that he still has his head attached. They deface Western symbols and openly state—like Ilhan Omar—their distaste for the freest countries anywhere in the world. There are, according to Wikipedia, 49 Muslim countries, and not one of them is a free, democratic state. You have every flavor of dictator, tinpot king, junta and toothless parliament, but the freedom to express yourself and the opportunity to go from poverty to the equivalent of a sitting member of Congress does not exist. Many of those who leave these countries hold their Western hosts in contempt, even when given a life and opportunities that they would never have had back home. They glibly praise—from afar, very afar—the maniacal terrorists who would make their lives a living hell if they were to be in Gaza instead of London, Boston, or Sydney.

Just as a future US president will have to not only close the southern border but also expel millions who illegally entered the country, so too a reckoning in the West is coming with Muslim populations that refuse to integrate into their host countries. Many such communities hate their Western hosts and represent a threat to the continued freedom and democratic norms of such countries. European countries cannot have no-go zones for non-Muslims. The West will soon have to choose between its historical ways of government and life or having large Muslim populations that place Sharia law above common law and do not see themselves as citizens of the countries that took them in.

A cousin of mine told me a story recently of meeting a Cuban fellow who by raft and swimming made his way to Florida. With nothing, he worked his way to success and a good life in his new country. He told my cousin that he cannot understand or accept foreigners or Americans who badmouth the US. The US is not a perfect country, but it is always ten levels above the dysfunctional countries which most refugees and immigrants leave behind. I would like to see an Oberlin student wearing a keffiyeh get by in Cairo or Peshawar for a month before running back to the green quad and safe spaces of her university indoctrination center.

The US and the West are under threat from a fifth column. Many Western Muslims and their useful idiots on the left support terrorists and the future destruction of the very countries that have given them refuge and a quality of life that they would never have found in their home countries. The West has no mandate to commit suicide. The US and European countries, if they wish to exist 100 years from now, should stop mass migration from Muslim countries, expel immigrants who have in any way violated the terms of their visas, and work through schools and other organizations to fully integrate Muslim citizens into the fabric of the larger society. Muslims can be productive Western citizens but they must have an allegiance to the countries that graciously took them in and gave them a better life.
