Comey Remains Defiant Over His Corrupt, Illegal Investigation Into Donald Trump

AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite

Even though the man has been exposed as a corrupt stooge, former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and other Russian collusion hoax peddlers will never apologize. They can't – they've invested too much of their time, money, and reputation to reverse course. Also, in this line of work, an apology is considered unprofessional. You never acknowledge one's failures in intelligence work. They also don't care; their mission was accomplished. They removed Donald Trump from office.

And this isn't necessarily only an FBI thing. The late Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) all but admitted to lying about Mitt Romney not paying his taxes on the Senate floor during the 2012 election. Democrats and their allies will do everything, including lie, cheat, and steal, to win an election. And Republicans have yet to learn that taking the high road doesn't neutralize these tactics, but that's a story for another time.

On Tuesday, Mr. Comey decided to drop by the comfy confines of MSNBC to offer his take on the Durham Report.

That report excoriated the FBI for its unprofessional conduct and utter lack of evidence to initiate a counterintelligence probe into Donald Trump and the allegations that he was a Russian asset. Comey's top agent in counterintelligence, Peter Strzok, signed off on the investigation, despite zero evidence other than the now widely debunked Steele Dossier, which the bureau brass knew was a compromised document loaded with Russian disinformation. It was also a Clinton campaign-funded opposition research project. Those details were suppressed to obtain illegal spy warrants against Trump associates. The FBI also spied on Trump's 2016 campaign via Crossfire Hurricane. The origins of the Russian collusion delusion were what we expected: a political witch hunt, where our most preeminent domestic law enforcement agency decided to weaponize known Russian disinformation to influence an election.

Also, what the hell is this interview? Willie Geist isn't a top liberal media enemy, as his stories aren't always hardcore on the political side, but this is a state-media-like sit-down with Comey. Does anyone think he was going to trash the FBI with this segment? He rehashed recycled talking points about how the Horowitz report exonerated the bureau of political bias during the 2016 election. We know that's a lie. And he treats suppressing exculpatory evidence when filing for a FISA warrant akin to a misreported traffic citation. These are significant breaches in procedure and gross overreach that I don't need to revisit. The FBI was wrong. It's become the political Stasi for the Democrats. It worked with Twitter to construct a quasi-politburo on the social media platform, censoring speech and banning accounts to influence the larger audience. Acting as speech agents isn't its job, but Comey and McCabe are sitting pretty, earning their pension money, and continuing to be believers in a massive election interference plot.

It's why no one trusts these people and never should until the rot is excised from the body.
