Biden Aide Reveals What the President's Top Priorities Will Be If Reelected

Several polls in recent months have shown President Joe Biden’s approval rating underwater, specifically on the issue of the economy. And, as the 2024 election gets closer, this issue has been at the top of mind for many voters.

However, in a recent interview, a Biden aide revealed the president’s top priorities if he were to be elected to a second term. The economy did not make the list.

In an interview on “Meet the Press” this week, Biden campaign spokesperson claimed that the president’s top priorities in a second term would be to restore Roe v. Wade and ban so-called assault weapons, which are typically referring to AK-47s, AR-15s, and M-16s.

“First of all: Roe. The president has been adamant that we need to restore Roe. It is unfathomable that women today wake up in a country with less rights than their ancestors had years ago,” Fulks said.

“No. 2, the president has already done a lot to prevent gun violence,” he added. “We have to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”

In addition, Fulks said that Biden would focus on capping the price of insulin and forgiving student loan debt.

“There’s billions more to be forgiven...that’s some of the things that I think you can expect from a second Biden-Harris administration,” Fulks said.

Last month, Vice President Kamala Harris announced that she would embark on a cross-country tour focused on abortion rights ahead of the 2024 election, which Townhall covered.

“There is a full-on attack in our country against the ability of people to just make decisions about their own body and their life,” Harris said in a video announcing the tour.

“Extremists across our country continue to wage a full-on attack against hard-won, hard-fought freedoms as they push their radical policies – from banning abortion in all 50 states and criminalizing doctors, to forcing women to travel out of state in order to get the care they need,” Harris said in a statement released by the White House. “I will continue to fight for our fundamental freedoms while bringing together those throughout America who agree that every woman should have the right to make decisions about her own body – not the government.”
