Trump: With Nothing on Russia, Dems Moved on to 'False' Sexual Harassment Allegations

President Trump on Tuesday argued that because Democrats have failed to find evidence of Russian collusion, they’ve set their sights on taking him down through sexual harassment allegations.

“Despite thousands of hours wasted and many millions of dollars spent, the Democrats have been unable to show any collusion with Russia - so now they are moving on to the false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don’t know and/or have never met,” he said on Twitter. “FAKE NEWS!”

The tweet comes a day after three women, all of whom accused Trump of sexual misconduct, held a press conference demanding a congressional investigation to hold him accountable.

They also appeared on Megyn Kelly’s NBC show to further discuss their allegations, which had been previously publicized.

“Women have found strength in one another and the courage to come forward, leaving many powerful men to suffer the consequences of their actions,” said accuser Rachel Crooks. “Trump however, has escaped this path unscathed, but over a dozen women have come forward about his sexual misconduct and we have video proof of him promoting such behavior. In an objective setting, without question, a person with this record would have entered the graveyard of political aspirations never to return. Yet, here we are with that man as President.”

Monday’s press conference was held by Brave New Films, which recently released a film about 16 women who’ve accused Trump of sexual misconduct.

The White House has denied the claims, saying the allegations are lies, and Trump himself said much the same during a press conference last week.

“All I can say is it’s totally fake news — just fake … and it’s disgraceful what happens,” he said. "These are stories that are made up, these are total fiction. You'll find out that, in the years to come, these women that stood up, it was all fiction," he added. "They were made up. I don't know these women, it's not my thing to do what they say.”
