Democrats have long been pushing the concept that healthcare is a "right," and that the only way to provide that right is for the government to run healthcare. That argument rears its ugly head ever so often, and it popped up again recently when Rep. Ro Khanna said it was time for "national health insurance" and a bunch of other free stuff.

The language Khanna used is not accidental. As we learned with the Obamacare debacle, health insurance is not the same as health care. Democrats are giving massive subsidies to health insurance providers for watered-down Obamacare exchange plans, which have outrageous premiums, cost-prohibitive deductibles, and increasingly sparse coverage. So while they boast more Americans are insured (and when you force people to buy a product or face fines, that's what happens), they still say the healthcare system is broken.
Democrats broke it, of course, because they want total control over our lives from cradle, if they don't abort us, to the grave, where they'll send us as soon as we're no longer useful to them.
That's what's happening in Canada, and I'm going to bang the drum for as long as it takes for Americans to learn this lesson from our neighbor in the north: the inevitable, unavoidable outcome of "universal health care" is always mass death at the hands of the state. Back in December, I wrote about a Canadian woman named Jolene who was afflicted with an awful, but perfectly treatable condition: hyperparathyroidism. The condition is fixed with surgery to remove the overactive parathyroid glands and medication. Unfortunately, Canada didn't have an endocrinologist to provide Jolene care, so they offered to kill her instead. Glenn Beck instead paid for Jolene to come to the States to get treatment.
The same thing happened to another Canadian woman who was diagnosed with Stage Four ovarian cancer. Instead of providing her treatment, doctors wanted to kill her, too.

"It's been two and a half years since my wife first fled Canada to save her life in the United States from Stage Four ovarian cancer after the Canadian healthcare system left her to die," the man said. "Where her only option would have been to kill herself on MAiD because they had no treatment for her."
"They lied to her and said that the HIPEC surgery wouldn't save her life, but it did," he said.
Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a two-step procedure combining cytoreductive surgery to remove visible tumors with heated chemotherapy applied directly inside the abdomen. She was able to get that treatment in the U.S.
But the story gets worse.
"They lost her chemo requisition, so she never got started on that," he continued, "she didn't even meet her Canadian oncologist. It was always by a phone. He was the guy that lost her chemo requisition, too. And every time she went to the hospital begging for help in the ER because her lungs were filling in with fluid ... they kicked her out and sent her home with opioids because they didn't have anybody there to drain her lungs."
I know someone who was recently diagnosed with cancer. She has already begun treatment. In Canada, she'd be euthanized instead.
This woman fled Canada for Seattle, where she got immediate treatment that — as he said — saved her life. She returned to Canada to be with her family and had more health problems. She repeatedly had to leave Canada for healthcare in the U.S. until they got fed up and applied for a green card. Now they're in Texas, and she's getting treatment and doing well in her third remission. She's even lifting weights again.
"Does that sound like somebody who is ready to die, Canada?" he said. "Does that sound like somebody who needs to kill themselves with MAiD?"
No, it doesn't.
The Canadian government doesn't care. They've repeatedly boasted about MAiD, and they even bragged that most of the victims are white and well-off. It's evil, and it's dangerous.
But it's what Democrats are absolutely itching to do here. Remember, the Democrats have vowed to once again weaponize the government against their political opponents if they regain power. I say "once again" because they've already done that. As I told you yesterday, the Biden DOJ used the FACE Act to weaponize the government against pro-life, Christian Americans. They will absolutely use government-run healthcare as a weapon against their political opponents. One Democrat wants to bar Trump voters like me from using the Internet for four years — what's to stop them from barring us from healthcare if we refuse to vote or behave the way they want us to? Absolutely nothing.
They already floated the idea of denying us healthcare if we didn't get the COVID vaccine. Their tyranny knows no bounds now, and handing them the literal power of life and death is a mistake we cannot afford to make.
