Why Women Fight

I'm old enough to remember when feminists told us the "patriarchy" was a threat to women. In their world, the "patriarchy" meant anything and everything that didn't openly, actively hate men. That includes women like me who are conservative and happen to love the men in their lives.

Feminists told us the "patriarchy" would abuse us, keep us barefoot and pregnant in our kitchens, and take away all our opportunities. In the last decade or so, those same feminists decided the best women are actually men — sorry, as they call them "trans women" — and they've decided to abuse any woman who dares object to that actual form of patriarchy.

Riley Gaines was a college swimmer, and a fairly decent one. That is, until William ("Lia") Thomas, who was ranked 462nd among his fellow men, decided he was a woman and joined Gaines' team. Thomas went on to smash records and beat women because he, a man, had a distinct physical advantage over these women.

For speaking out against Thomas, Gaines has been subject to years of harassment, violent threats, and abuse by Leftists and Democrats who claim to be the "party of women." This includes Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), who attacked Gaines not once, but twice: first, she snarkily told Gaines, "Maybe if you channeled all this anger into swimming faster you wouldn’t have come in fifth" before telling Gaines (a new mother) to "get a real job."

That's rich coming from a Congresswoman who used to mix cocktails.

Democrats always feel the need to point out that Gaines, who spent her life training and swimming, came in fifth. I'd like to see AOC get in the pool and try to swim, but I'd settle for a Democrat telling men like Thomas to train harder rather than cheat and compete against women.

But they won't do that, because they have to knock women down in order to build up the trans community.

Case in point:

The absolute audacity to say something like this. Gaines never asked to be put in that situation. What woman in her right mind would want to spend years being threatened and targeted by guys like Cole for the simple act of saying it's not fair to force women to compete against men?

None.

But sometimes, women don't have a choice. Gaines recently gave birth to a daughter, so she has a vested interest in putting an end to the trans activist insanity.

It's fundamentally unfair and sexist for the Left to demand that women give up our athletic opportunities, our privacy, our peace of mind, and our basic safety so men who cosplay as girls can feel "affirmed" in their "gender identity." Couple that with the push to erase the word women from our lexicon — using words that reduce us to the most base parts of our anatomy and bodily functions – and it's amazing women haven't taken to the streets with torches and pitchforks.

Instead, we've turned to social media, started organizations, and gone to court to protect our rights from radical trans activists and their misogynistic leftist allies. We will not be silenced, and we will not be cowed.

Far too many people, Cole included, are one of those three. They feel the incessant need to put women in their places in favor of mentally ill men, to rob us of our achievements, and belittle us into bending the knee.

They must, instead, be put in theirs.
