This grueling trial, which has sparked strong reactions, is over. The deliberations spanned multiple days, and the jury is officially deadlocked. Are we shocked, given the jury's composition and the fact that two women showed up for deliberations wearing pink? Multiple convictions are under consideration; we just don't know which one is hitting a roadblock here. The judge, who allowed these people to go home over the weekend rather than sequester them, ordered them to return to the room and deliberate further. As of now, we're heading for a hung jury.

When the jury could have someone, like Lisa Rinna, who thinks the husband, Patrick, killed the kids, mayhem will ensue:

The crime was heinous: on January 23, 2023. She killed her three children, Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months), with exercise bands and later attempted suicide. Her defense has called her a helluva mother which was met with incredulity. They also admitted that Clancy killed her children. Postpartum psychosis and over-medication is the defense. Meanwhile, the prosecution is arguing that while Clancy's mental health was an issue and declining, she knew what she was doing. They also argue that she wasn’t helpless, as Patrick had a high-six-figure job, worked from home, and had a nanny to help Ms. Clancy around the house.

It’s led to a crackpot reaction from white liberal women who view Clancy as something of a hero, someone they relate to, which is chilling since she’s a child killer. Some of the TikToks have women holding their children. It’s beyond gross.

The jury was 75 percent female. They are to consider convicting Clancy of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and involuntary manslaughter, as well as acquitting Clancy by reason of lack of criminal responsibility. And then there’s the flat-out not guilty verdict.

Oral arguments ended on August 27.
