Democrat women and the LGBTQ community should probably take note of what's happening in their party. Sure, you can hate Trump all you want, but that derangement is going to land you in a mess you can't vote your way out of.
Matt Yglesias says the party needs to embrace "Islamist influence" on "broadly traditionalist cultural values," further proving my point that Democrats will sell out their core constituencies to appease Islamists.
If anything a bit more “Islamist” (just broadly traditionalist on cultural values) influence on Democrats would be welcomed by me and many others.

What are these "traditionalist cultural values" that Islam professes? Well, look no further than Sharia law, which outlaws homosexuality, adultery (but only for women, and rape is considered adultery, even if you're the victim), drinking, and gambling. Under Sharia law, women are not allowed to get education or jobs or leave their homes without a male escort.
Some girls undergo brutal and barbaric female genital mutilation, which deprives them of the ability to feel sexual pleasure and makes childbirth risky.
Non-Muslims are forced to convert, forced to pay a tax, and treated as second-class citizens.
Those are the values Yglesias wants Democrats to embrace.

As we saw in Hamtramck, Michigan, those values also mean barring the pride flag from public and Melissa Chaudhry removed her LGBTQ platform from her campaign website to appease Muslims.
Yglesias welcomes this, too.

Democrats don't care. They believe this will help them gain and keep power, so the consequences — which will be suffered by the very groups Democrats claim to champion — are irrelevant and immaterial.

The irony is also so thick you could cut it with a knife.
I'm not even sure what to say to this. Yglesias would never say Democrats need to adopt Christian values — even as creeps like Talarico and Hamilton won their races with their faux brand of Christianity. That would be "Christian nationalism" and unconstitutional. But a religion and political movement that is diametrically opposed to the very things Democrats claim to profess, namely the rights of women and gays, is something they embrace.
