I get it, Democrats. You hate America, Republicans, and President Trump so much, there are no lengths to which you won't go to destroy all three of them. But you have a very bad habit of being very short-sighted. Take, for example, your push for socialized medicine. You assume, rather incorrectly, that you will always be the ones who control the purse strings.

That's just not true. Despite your best efforts, a Republican — one you will swear is worse than President Trump was, by the way — will eventually take control of the White House and Republicans will run Congress. Do you really want a guy you'll call the reincarnation of Hitler controlling healthcare?

But this isn't about healthcare. Not this time. It's about putting Islamists into power, as Jessica Tarlov said on a recent episode of "The Five."

"We didn't play the sound of this. Abdul: 'To bring into question my commitment to the Constitution is beneath you. I'm proud of America, I'm proud of our Constitution that guarantees us all the right to pray as we choose to pray.' He just started a faith ad which I think everyone should take a look at where he talks about being a man of faith, and that it's important to have more people in political office who are people of faith," Tarlov said. "Reverend Hamilton running on this in Kansas as well, James Talarico."

"You support this? You want more Muslims in positions of power?" Gutfeld asked.

"When you say it like that, yeah, I do want more Muslims in positions of power," Tarlov replied. "Because guess what? All Muslims aren't part of the Muslim Brotherhood."

We'll set aside the fact that both Hamilton and Talarico are terrible left-wing Christians and instead focus on El-Sayed. He's not committed to the Constitution. He said it only protects our right to own muskets — because that's what they had when the Constitution was written. Setting aside the historical inaccuracy of that, El-Sayed also said the Second Amendment should be repealed to be replaced with a constitutional "right to healthcare."

So he's not proud of the Constitution. And he's not proud of America; his campaigning with Hasan Piker more than proves that.

True, perhaps not all Muslims are part of the Muslim Brotherhood, but how would Tarlov explain what Melissa Choudhry did in Washington state? To appease the Muslim community, she removed her LGBTQ platform from her campaign website. In Michigan, Hamtramck's majority-Muslim city council banned the Pride Flag.

And El-Sayed penned a Substack piece (since deleted) supporting his "friend" who was sentenced in absentia to life in prison in Egypt, where authorities alleged he supported the Muslim Brotherhood. His sister bragged about family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. And as we have documented extensively here at Townhall, there is a paper trail tying his parents and donors to other Islamic terrorist groups.

It seems salient that we know where El-Sayed stands on this, especially as he has his eye on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, which is incredibly influential for foreign policy and national security.

In Germany, an Islamic preacher is vowing to stone adulterous women once they get a majority and can enact Sharia law. Sharia law which, by the way, Abdul El-Sayed says he's obligated to follow for the rest of his life. In Texas, imams are demanding stores stop selling pork, alcohol, and lottery tickets — all things that are haram in Islam.

In the U.K., the few Muslim women who migrate are handed hijabs upon landing in what's supposed to be a free, Western nation. For years, the Left has pushed for "solidarity" with Muslim women by having school girls try on hijabs and wearing them in public, as Peggy Flanagan, AOC, and Kathy Hochul have done.

That's not a sign of respect. It's a symbol of oppression and appeasement to an ideology that sees women like me and Tarlov as little more than property. Women and girls in Afghanistan can't attend school, they cannot work, they cannot leave their home without a male escort (and they can't even be seen from the windows when they are home). They can't even get basic medical care because women aren't allowed to work as doctors or to see male doctors.

Even here, where I live, Muslim men will sit at the gym and watch their women (whether they're wives, sisters, or daughters I don't know) exercise at the Planet Fitness near my house. I know this because I saw it, and it made me so uncomfortable that I stopped going there. Tarlov would probably call me Islamophobic; she's welcome to come and work out there a few times to see how she likes it.

Because even if they're not leering at her or me, the idea that a woman living in America cannot go to the gym without a man keeping an eye on her is deeply troubling and unsettling.

And, above all, Muslims have been taught the concept of taqiyya, or the ability to lie to advance Islamic causes. So we do not know what El-Sayed is telling the truth about. Just like his stance on private insurance. He's gone from saying we need to outlaw it to saying we can keep it to saying maybe they can offer "luxury" services to some people.

But more than that, let's revisit why Tarlov wants more Muslims in political power. Not because they'd help better this nation. Not because they have good ideas. But because it bothers people like me and Gutfeld that ceding our country to people who celebrated killing 3,000 of us 25 years ago — people who hate women and gays, by the way — isn't a good idea.

So if Tarlov wants more Muslims in positions of political power, perhaps she should visit Muslim-majority countries first to see what that looks like. And be careful what she wishes for.
