I try to be a pretty optimistic person, but I don't see how anything good comes of the insanity that's infesting the justice system in this country, and I don't know if we have the intestinal fortitude to fix the problems. We have activist judges who cut loose career criminals with little to no bail, often under cashless bail laws passed by Democrats. We have prosecutors like Alvin Bragg who routinely knock down felonies to misdemeanors, dismiss charges, and fail to file paperwork so criminals who punch pro-life activists get to walk (by "mistake," of course). Other prosecutors in Bragg's office let black suspects go because of their race while attempting to throw the book at guys like Daniel Penny because he's white.
Meanwhile, leftists have realized they can infiltrate juries to bring their activism into the courtroom. Lindsay Clancy jurors wanted to find her not guilty by reason of insanity to "help" other women. Help them do what? Murder their children and not be held accountable? In Texas, leftists and black residents said they would vote to acquit Karmelo Anthony simply because he's a black boy who killed a white boy at a track meet. Not because he was innocent, not because there was reasonable doubt. Because of their politics.
Nothing good will come of this. Because if they can acquit Clancy and Anthony for political reasons, they can convict people and lock them up for political reasons, too. Just imagine a juror sitting down with CBS and saying the jury's ruling would "send a message to Trump voters," echoing what Clancy juror Paula Daviln said about "making things better for women" by letting a monster go.
What's really scary is if you take a look at the up-and-coming crop of law students, you'll see that the impartial judicial system is going to crumble under the weight of left-wing activism, and sooner rather than later.
That's because these future prosecutors, attorneys, and judges are being taught by the likes of Dean Spade, a professor at Seattle University.
Spade believes prison isn't appropriate for rapists. Instead Spade, who is a woman identifying as a man, wants "accountability circles" for rapists.
Honestly, you cannot make this stuff up!

To achieve the goals of abolitionism and the transgender movement, Spade also argued that abolitionists should welcome individuals whom society has placed in “extreme, sexualized, stigmatized categories — those are our people.” The professor mentioned sex workers as an example.
“… if you take our radical politics and use that as the test, you’re likely to produce spaces that are unwelcoming and too small to be effective,” Spade said.
At another point in the conversation, Spade also said the transgender movement needs to be engaged in a “militant struggle” and gather together a larger movement to help them with “fighting back.”
Hear that, ladies?
If you're raped, your rapist won't be locked up. He'll get to sit in a circle and hear about how rape is bad before being set loose in the community, where he'll undoubtedly rape again.
But don't worry, the Left will make sure you have access to abortion to "fix" the problem if you happen to get pregnant. Maybe their Medicare for All scheme will cover your counseling, if they didn't blow the budget on trans surgeries for illegal aliens that year, that is.
These insane college syllabi become tomorrow's public policy. And as I have repeatedly said, while rapists get a slap on the wrist in accountability circles, the Left's political opponents will get an all-expenses-paid trip to Club Fed. Because that's what socialists do: they imprison their opponents and use criminals to create the chaos they need to suppress society under their fascist boot.
There is a way to fix this: the complete and total purge of academia, of rogue judges, of feckless prosecutors from New York to Los Angeles. They'll wail and gnash their teeth, of course, but when the choice is letting them destroy this nation or hurting their feelings (and rendering them unemployable in anything other than the fast food industry), it's easy to see what the path should be.
Walking it, on the other hand, is hard. Yet walk it we must, because the future of law and justice is bleak if we don't take steps now to protect the system from the leftists who would destroy it. They have no intention of stopping until they get what they want, and we must beat them back at every turn.
