It's been a year and a half since the U.K. Supreme Court ruled that women are, in fact, a protected biological class and that "transwomen" do not meet that definition under U.K. law. Because they're men.
It was a win for women, but the battle itself should never have needed to be fought. But years of leftists erasing women and letting mentally ill, abusive men enter our safe spaces, our sports, and our bathrooms warranted a response from the court. Despite that, the NHS and others are simply refusing to acknowledge the court's ruling, it seems.
And now an NHS trust is facing legal action after a male patient with a beard and a penis was admitted to a women's psychiatric ward, where he exposed himself and engaged in other vile behaviors.

A senior doctor is bringing legal action against her NHS trust, claiming a “bearded” transgender patient was allowed on to a female psychiatric ward only to expose himself to fellow patients, The Times can reveal.
The consultant psychiatrist, anonymised as “Dr A”, lodged a tribunal claim against Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust last month.
She told how many of the “vulnerable” women on the female ward were detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 and included victims of sexual violence.
The consultant claimed that after patients complained about the behaviour and presence of the male patient who identifies as female, he was moved to a male ward.
But the doctor alleged that managers at the trust intervened and the trans woman was returned to the female ward.
This reminds me of the case out of Canada, where authorities admitted that a "trans-identifying man" raped female prison inmates but wasn't removed from the women's prison. Those authorities said women's rights were not violated.
Think about that for a moment. Women in Canada no longer have the right not to be raped in prison because some man says he's a girl.
But the NHS didn't stop there. Nurses, receptionists, and other healthcare workers have been forced to accept "transwomen" in their locker rooms and are being punished for speaking out.

This is passive resistance. The NHS doesn't like the U.K. Supreme Court's ruling, so they're simply ignoring it. And the authorities seem to have no interest in enforcing the ruling.
That means the law and the Supreme Court are rendered utterly moot. A law that is not enforced is not a law at all. Undoubtedly, they're hoping to wait it out until a friendlier court is in place and then — should that court rule that yes, some women have beards and penises — they will ruthlessly, violently enforce that ruling.
We see it all the time here in the United States, too. It's why the Left uses judges to block President Trump's agenda; run out the clock until a politician they do like is in control, and then flood the nation with new laws that force their ideology and agenda down our throats.
For the Left, only the laws that matter are the laws they like. Those they do not like are ignored, repealed, or thwarted at every possible turn.
And if it means women's rights are destroyed in the process, so be it.
This, by the way, is our future if the Democrats get their Medicare for All scheme. A bloated, inefficient bureaucracy that becomes a law unto itself. And you think Democrats won't politicize our healthcare even more than they already do?
I'm not sure what the mechanisms of enforcement are in the U.K., but they need to be used, swiftly and forcefully, to end this passive resistance by the NHS.
