Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan delivered for the Alaskan people with the Alaska Opportunity Act, a piece of legislation that his opponent, Mary Peltola, would have blocked if she had been given the opportunity.
Like all Democrats, Peltola opposes the Working Families Tax Cuts. Unlike some of her fellow Democrats, who are now trying to take credit for the success of those tax cuts, Peltola continues to insist they are "damaging" Alaskans.

This legislation lowered taxes, secured the largest investment in Coast Guard history, and unleashed Alaska's energy.

"And then it was that horrible H.R. 1, the rescission package, the Big Beautiful Bill, whatever you want to call it. There were so many damaging things within that," Peltola said.
But that's a lie. Sullivan delivered many wins for Alaskans with the Alaska Opportunity Act, and voters should know that Peltola would have prevented every single one of them.
Thanks to Sen. Sullivan, nearly 30 million acres across Alaska, including ANWR and Cook Inlet, were unlocked to bring in $17 billion in new energy revenue for the state. His legislation delivered the largest investment in history for the Coast Guard, including homeporting icebreakers in Alaska, which will bring good paying jobs to the state and enhance national security, and $120 million to upgrade and make Alaska's aviation systems safer. He also delivered pay raises for our military and secured $284 million in new military construction, as well as investments in Adak naval base as part of his push for it to reopen.
He also secured $1.36 billion for Alaska's rural hospitals and healthcare, as well as protected Medicaid for those Alaskans who truly need it by eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse. He also ended benefits for at least 1.4 million illegal aliens who were gaming the system, all while making sure not one dollar of Medicaid benefits were cut for Alaskans.
Sullivan helped block the largest tax hike in American history, saving the taxpayers more than $5 trillion and boosting take-home pay for hardworking Alaskan families, including thousands of dollars for service industry workers who rely on tips, the 30 percent of Alaska workers who work overtime, and the 100,000 Alaskan seniors who rely on Social Security.
For students, Sullivan helped expand access to Pell Grants for students pursuing skilled trades, allowing these students the same opportunities as traditional college students, and allowed 529 savings plans to be used for trade certifications and tools, freeing up $500 billion for trade schools and those students.

As part of his support for this legislation, Sullivan helped create Trump Accounts for newborns to help build generational wealth and give children a shot at the American dream, and he expanded the Child Tax Credit for over 40 million working families, as well as made the paid leave tax credit permanent.
To help create family supporting jobs, Sullivan also delivered by incentivizing businesses 100 percent expensing on things like the construction of new factories, improvements, equipment, research, and development.
He also helped secure our southern border by supporting the largest investment in border security in American history.
Those are just some of the wins Dan Sullivan delivered for the people of Alaska, wins that his opponent, Mary Peltola, calls "damaging." That makes it clear that Peltola's interests are not for the American people or the people of Alaska, but of her agenda.
