There has long been a globalist push to undermine international sovereignty and threaten our independence. America, especially, is a target of this effort, and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have made it clear they will give over our rights and freedoms to the nefarious and ubiquitous "international law."
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is already planting these seeds. Back in November, he was calling a presentation by Nefesh B'Nefesh, an organization that helps Jews settle in Israel, a violation of "international law." He used this excuse to dismiss the anti-semitic protests that harassed elderly Jews at the Park East Synagogue, where the meeting took place. Mamdani also desperately tried to use "international law" and the International Criminal Court (ICC) to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when Bibi comes to the Big Apple for the UN General Assembly in September.
Unfortunately for Mamdani, but fortunately for us, the ICC and international law have no power here. And we need to keep it that way.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio laid out why the ICC is so dangerous, and why it must be opposed during today's Cabinet meeting.

"The International Criminal Court is an illegitimate international organization that frankly ... they make themselves illegitimate because they claim that even if you are not a member of that court, they can come after you," Rubio said. "What that literally means in the future is that American servicemen, political leaders, and others could find themselves under indictment by this International Criminal Court."
"These are the people who think that basically they can go out and indict any world leader and haul them into the Hague. We tried to get them to reform and listen to us. They wouldn't do it. They're very arrogant. We've now begun an effort to really try to bring that court to heel," he continued.
"And I actually think the people who are in the biggest danger in our system are servicemen, people in uniform," Rubio added. "They'll try to ... for the rest of their lives, they'll not be able to travel anywhere in the world with their families because they could be arrested on one of these. Imagine, you're a soldier and you fought in a war and 20 years later they try to come grab you. So this is a big problem. We've had dozens of countries already join us ... five countries have already quit the ICC and notified them that they're leaving."
Thank goodness.
I have loved ones who are veterans, and the thought that traveling abroad could land them in a prison in the Hague terrifies me. And it would start with veterans because you can't have a sovereign nation or borders without men and women in uniform willing to defend it. If you thought military morale and recruitment numbers were bad under Joe Biden, imagine how they'd tank if we knew our country could send us off to war only for us to end up in some commie gulag in Europe for "war crimes."
But it wouldn't stop with service members. "International law" would be used to take away all of our Constitutional rights, especially the freedom of speech and religious expression and the right to keep and bear arms. Mamdani admitted as much when he condemned the Nefesh B'Nefesh event in New York; Jews wouldn't be able to assemble peacefully, and Christians would be next. It would be easy to say the doctrines of the Catholic Church, which opposes gay marriage and abortion, violate "international law."
We all know one religion would be somehow, conveniently, exempt.
There isn't a doubt in my mind that a Democrat President would get us involved with the ICC, subjecting hundreds of millions of Americans to the rule of a communist kangaroo court hellbent on the destruction of the West. That's why Rubio's work in delegitimizing the ICC is of vital importance.
