"Never before have the two standards of justice in our country been more starkly revealed."
That's what former President Donald Trump told supporters and the media during his speech Tuesday night from Bedminster following his unprecedented and historic arraignment in Miami, Florida, earlier in the day.
Trump is right. There are two standards of justice in this country. One favors Democrats and the radical left, protecting their power and allowing them to get away with any crime they want. The other seeks to punish and persecute Republicans and conservatives for threatening that power.
Last week, the 45th president of the United States became the first in our nation's history to be indicted on federal charges over his alleged mishandling of classified documents. While there are, of course, differing opinions on this indictment, one thing is VERY clear, the Department of Justice is not operating in an unbiased manner, and we are witnessing "wannabe dictator" President Joe Biden weaponize the federal government against his top political opponent and the current GOP frontrunner. This is election interference at the highest level.
While Special Counsel Jack Smith stated that no one is above the law, not even a former president, it is clear some politicians, in fact, are.
Just look at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Under the Democrat DOJ of the Obama Administration, Clinton sent and stored unclassified material on an unauthorized and unsecured e-mail server. At the time, disgraced former FBI Director James Comey said Hillary Clinton and her staff "were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information." Comey also stated, "We do assess that hostile actors gained access to the private commercial e-mail accounts of people with whom Secretary Clinton was in regular contact from her personal account." Yet, no charges were brought.
Then there is our sitting president, Joe Biden, who has a classified document scandal of his own but, more importantly, and way worse, is facing damning allegations of a multi-million dollar bribery scheme from his time as vice president.
We have the allegations that Joe Biden and his son Hunter received $10 million from a Ukrainian national, who's believed to be an asset of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), in exchange for a "favor." Mykola Zlochevsky, a co-founder of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, allegedly bribed the Bidens to fire Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma for corruption. Hunter Biden just so happened to be on the company's board, thanks to an appointment from Zlochevsky.
And what has the Department of Justice done since facing these instances of blatant corruption? Nothing.
