The End for NMPolitics.net

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

It's a sad day for political junkies in New Mexico: NMPolitics.net, one of the top outlets covering the political scene in the Land of Enchantment, is shutting down after more than 6 years.

Heath Haussamen, the longtime owner and primary author of NMPolitics.net, has moved on to New Mexico In Depth, a new public interest site funded by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. In his farewell column, Haussamen revealed that he tried to sell the site but was unable to find a suitable buyer.

NMPolitics.net served as an important resource for anyone following political developments in the state. Outside of the Albuquerque Journal, political coverage in New Mexico newspapers is limited compared to other states.
