Uff-Da, Governor Tim Walz was selected as the Democratic vice presidential nominee.  Minnesotans have experienced the impacts of Governor Walz’ progressive regime and now have front row seats as his national “narrative” is spun, unburdened by the reality of the last five years in Minnesota.  The D.C. Blender (defined below) is attempting to transform our governor, infamous for riots, fraud, abandonment, crime, and spending like a drunken sailor, into the All-American Midwestern moderate governor who coached football, wears camo and says folks a lot.  Millions of Minnesotans are buffoonded by what they are watching.

Buffoonded, apparently it is not a word, but let us not be burdened by the dictionary.  Buffoonded – the feeling one gets watching ridiculous, hypocritical interviews, actions and news stories while being amused by the apparent complete lack of self-awareness and truthfulness of those doing, saying and reporting, said behavior.  Examples of common uses:

- The residents of Minneapolis were buffoonded as they watched the news reports describing “mostly peaceful protests” while infernos blazed throughout their city, the 3rd Precinct Police Station was overrun, and businesses were destroyed.

- Americans are buffoonded when Vice President Harris, who cast the deciding vote to pass the Inflation Reduction Act as a tool to fight inflation, now boasts about the same act being the biggest climate investment legislation of all time.

- Minnesotans were left buffoonded upon hearing that Governor Walz; whose reign includes the Minneapolis riots of 2020, the country’s largest COVID relief funds fraud scandal ($250 million), a Minneapolis-St Paul crime wave enflamed by a 30 percent reduction in the Minneapolis Police Force, and a 44 percent increase in annual state government spending was picked as the VP candidate.

Now that buffoonded is defined, the D.C. Blender is an enterprise of media members, politicians, and pundits who tend to pour facts, data, reality, and the truth into a “blender,” hit the spin cycle, and pour out whatever “narrative” fits the moment.  This “narrative,” unburdened by truth or reality is exactly that, a narrative.  Per Webster’s Dictionary, a narrative is “a way of presenting or understanding a situation or series of events that reflects and promotes a particular point of view or set of values.”  Notice anything?  Truth was never mentioned in the definition.  Give Democrats their credit; they know their semantics.  Similar to President Clinton’s infamous “it depends upon what the meaning of the word is, is,” defense, the new cover for lying is just prefacing every statement as a “narrative.”  By definition, when the media or a politician provides a “narrative,” they are not bound by the truth; therefore, they are not lying.

This is the rationale that brought Americans the narrative from over 50 intelligence and national security “experts” that Hunter Biden’s laptop story had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation” while the FBI had custody of the laptop and the narrative that Joe Biden (as of last month) was, “sharp and commanding.”  The D.C. Blender now has its sites focused on reimagining the Harris-Walz presidential ticket into being everything, to everyone, all at once, unburdened by the reality of their progressive records, failed policies, Minnesota Freedom Fund bailouts, or skipped deployments.

To kick-off the narrative, President Biden’s failing cognitive ability, which finally became too clear for the American public not to see, was left unaddressed in his farewell address.  President Biden then wove in protecting democracy as a central tenet of the 2024 Democratic Party platform.  The hypocrisy of President Biden pontificating on the importance of saving democracy on the heels of the Democrat Party subverting democracy demonstrates the confidence Democrats have in the media.

The metamorphosis of President Biden from being sharp, full of energy, to being a victim of Deep Fake-Gate, to having one bad debate, to President Joe Must Go, and then, to Governor Walz, in mid-VP-audition, coming off the top ropes with “Joe Biden is and has always been an American hero" was truly impressive.  The D.C. Blender spun President Biden from a man of Jeffersonian brilliance and youthful energy, to a complete zero, literally back to a hero in 6 days.  This all occurred without the American public even seeing the president.

Now to Vice President Harris, who currently idles in the cocoon stage of her metamorphosis, empowering the D.C. Blender to redefine her far left political past and cringeworthy remarks.  Candidate Kamala Harris will emerge, without talking to the media in a month, at the DNC Convention next week with the poll-tested narrative that is unburdened by the facts, policies, truth, and reality of her past.

And last but not least, especially for Minnesotans, is the Governor Walz spin.  Our “weird” governor, whose resume is full of riots, fraud, crime, increasing taxes, and tampons in boys’ bathrooms will get churned into a common-sense, Midwestern moderate.  But, before you eat the hot dish, ask a Minnesotan how life has been living in an unchecked, progressive policy incubator for the last five years.  Minnesotans have experienced the results of “reimagined” policing, green energy mandates, free health care, and ladders for all illegal immigrants.  Shockingly, crime is up, energy costs are up, and spending is soaring.  In fact, Governor Walz has increased the annual spending of Minnesota’s state government by 44 percent in just four years, from $41 billion in 2019 to $58 billion in 2023.  But those are just facts, what’s the narrative?

Despite the buffoonery, Americans can, and must meet the moment.  Remember, if democracy was easy, the Chinese would be doing it.  President Washington wrote in his Farewell Address, “In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.”  Perhaps today, in our hyper-communicative world, oversaturated with spin and light on facts and truth, “The Buffoonded American” might just be on the path to becoming an Enlightened American.
