Democrats are desperate because they have nothing left in their arsenal.

They have nothing left except weaponizing fear about the coronavirus to turn Americans against the president. As I write, #TrumpHasNoPlan is trending on that sewer pit known as Twitter.

Whatever.

What truly matters is the truth that's trending in the hearts and minds of those who will likely turn the 2020 election into a landslide victory for Trump.

Everyday Americans aren't buying it.

Regular folks, the kind who put him into office the first time, understand what's happening. They see that everything Democrats do is filtered through a prism of desperation.

Their current mental state is a lot like Lloyd's from the movie "Dumb and Dumber." "We got no food! We got no jobs! Our pet's heads are falling off!"

It's that bad.

Democrats have no presidential candidate. None, that is, save the touchy-feely clueless guy currently locked in his basement who has a thing for sniffing women's heads.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is drowning in scandals. From his son Hunter's business dealings with China to the Tara Reade sexual assault allegations Democrats continue to overlook, Biden is as shady as the Clintons are crooked.

Fortunately for Biden, he has plausible deniability in that he can't remember what he had for breakfast, let alone assault allegations from 25 years ago.

So it should come as no surprise Biden was also one of the officials recently named in the Obama administration's Michael Flynn flimflammery--yet denied any knowledge of it one day prior. I guess we're supposed to believe he forgot it for the same reason he confused his wife with his sister during his Super Tuesday speech.

And when Biden is firing on all cylinders, which is becoming increasingly rare, he doesn't impress, especially on foreign policy.

He's soft on the folks who gave us the Wuhan coronavirus that temporarily destroyed our economy. And in his 2014 memoir, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Biden was on the wrong side of "nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."

Add to that Democrats no longer have the Russia collusion hoax.

They've wasted the better part of three years chasing fake spies and phony ties to supposed Russia collusion when all they had to do is pull out a mirror.

It was an intentional hoax, a con job. We know this thanks to recently released House Intelligence Committee Russia investigation transcripts revealing big-name Obama administration officials were boldfaced lying to us for three years.

They admitted behind closed doors there was no evidence of coordination or collusion or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, the very matter which initiated the FBI's preliminary case and the special counsel probe.

It's nauseatingly ironic that during the July 17, 2017 House Intelligence Committee closed-door session, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said: "I never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting/conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election."

A little over a month earlier, Clapper trashed Trump at an event in Canberra, Australia saying: Watergate "pales…in comparison to the controversy surrounding the Trump administration and Russia."

True statement. Wrong administration.

Undeniably, Watergate pales in comparison to what is now Obamagate, whereby key Obama officials got caught pants-down unmasking the identity of incoming-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

While it is legal to listen to foreign ambassadors' conversations, it's illegal to listen to an American citizen's phone conversations without a warrant. Given all Flynn did was discuss policy, how could the unmasking be anything but political? The declassified documents also reveal former President Obama knew details about the wiretapping of Flynn's phone calls.

As the saying goes: "A fish rots from the head down."

Desperate indeed. No Russia collusion. No coherent presidential candidate. No defense for what appears to be a politically motivated Obamagate.

Every plan they've concocted to defeat Trump has slipped through their smarmy fingers. They've got nothing left. No wonder they're clinging to coronavirus.
