I'm tired of this now. I'm so, so tired of this virus. There will be variants. We have three vaccines. And the latest wave is mild as hell. That's a good thing. We can't even enjoy good news about this pandemic anymore because liberals won't let us. Their allies in the media won't let us. Dr. Anthony Fauci won't let us. The CDC is a mess, but if it got its crap together—it would also be in the Eeyore camp. Omicron could be the end of this pandemic. There's doubt that there would be a variant even more contagious than this one. So, everyone will get a mild case, natural immunity, and we can go on with our lives, except for one social convention that's now blowing up in the faces of liberals everywhere.
It's the stigma. You're a bad person, an idiot, a Trump supporter, or whatever if you got COVID. "You probably weren't wearing a mask. You're an anti-vaxxer. I hope you die." That's what blue-state dwellers felt about Delta. It's not shocking. We hate liberals, and they hate us. The only difference is that we don't possess the appalling arrogance that has led liberal America to believe that they can't get infected just because they voted for Biden and listened to everything Fauci said about the disease.
The irony here is that Fauci said it didn't matter what face covering you wore as long as you had something on your face, like a cloth mask. We know those are egregiously ineffective, as most if not all store-bought masks, something Fauci also admitted in his emails. The fact is that for all the smirking, all the schadenfreude about red states having COVID outbreaks—the worst ones happen in liberal America. New York City is the mecca for COVID.
Everyone is going to get it. Some will get it again, both vaccinated and unvaccinated. The pandemic of the unvaccinated is no longer true. The vaccinated can still spread the virus. The liberals who felt superior because they followed the medical fascist's guide to idiocy on this virus are getting Omicron. Just because you're a liberal doesn't make you special. Hell, even Biden, whose mind is oatmeal, conceded that point. The virus will infect anyone; it's not political, though the protocols have been soaked in it.
It's a classic rake-stepping move by liberal America. I guess these people are anti-vaxxers, morons, and they all deserve to die because they got infected. These are their rules. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. And even when faced with total defeat on the narrative front, they will panic about the so-called "long COVID." There's no perspective here because their whole psyche has become engulfed in hysteria. Which is worse, kids—long COVID or death? It's not a hard question.
We're still fretting about a virus with a 99 percent survivability rate. We have three vaccines that heavily mitigate, if not eliminate, severe illness and death if you do get infected. It's like the flu vaccine. You take it to mitigate what happens if you get infected, but you can still contract the virus. The flu and COVID are now endemic. Shots for both will probably become a recommended procedure soon. Will the COVID shot be every year, like the flu shot, or on a timetable similar to boosters for tetanus and other diseases? We don't know yet. The 836,000 total dead in the US from COVID is also in doubt as the CDC announced that it would dissect who died from COVID and who died with COVID—two very different things.
While Trump was blamed for COVID, will Biden face the same scrutiny since we have a record number of infections? It's his fault according to liberal America's rules. They are their own worst enemies, aren't they, folks?
We were right about the definition of fully vaccinated changing, how the vaccinated can still spread it, and how travel and employment could come under threat with vaccine mandates. Conservative America was yards ahead of everyone on this, partially due to our justified and healthy skepticism of government power. Meanwhile, liberal America surrendered to the coronabros—and now have COVID.
Getting COVID is nothing to be ashamed about. It's not your fault. And we have loads of tools to deal with this virus. We have vaccines and other therapeutics. Relax, live your life, and get back to living as we did with any other airborne pathogen we face every winter with acceptable risk.
We're in post-COVID times. It's here to stay. Hit the reset, and for God's sake—get the kids back in school. Stop being lazy up there, Chicago.
