What was the joke? We don't have an SS-Gestapo because we already have the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Taxes are probably some of the records, if not the only records that the government is meticulous about when it comes to reporting. For years, the IRS simply did not have the resources to act like the bloodthirsty hawk it has always wanted to be. Now, Joe Biden is hoping to rebuild the IRS into a tax Gestapo force. How? Well, if the vaccine mandates were any indication, it's the usual formula of government overreach that's overlooked because the liberal media loves this guy.

Yes, the media were tough on Biden during the Afghanistan fiasco. A broken clock is right twice a day. And while gold stars are warranted here, it's sort of sad — since this is the media's job.

The Afghanistan withdrawal was shambolic. It was terrible. Now, when are the media going to hit him on how we left Americans behind in Afghanistan? When will they hit him for his lackadaisical approach to rising inflation, which is seen first and foremost by female voters who balance the budgets in America's homes? The jobs reports are abysmal. The French are recalling their ambassador. And the border is lost. This administration is a serial failure.

Yet, I digress. How creepy is Biden's IRS plan? Well, any account, personal or business, that has over $600 will be monitored. Yeah, you heard that right. Virtually every Americans' bank account will be under the microscope of the IRS. Why is this being missed? Well, first, it's buried in that monstrosity of a human infrastructure bill that comes in at a "conservative" price tag of $3.5 trillion, which is on top of the so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill that comes in at $1.2 trillion. And people wonder why inflation is through the roof (via Fox Business):

The Biden administration is aiming to bolster the Internal Revenue Service by adding bank account reporting requirements to Democrats' massive tax and spending bill, prompting a swift backlash from Republicans who have warned it infringes on customers' privacy.

Under the proposal, banks and other financial institutions would be required to annually report customers' account inflows and outflows of $600 or more to the IRS. The White House has estimated the policy, which would apply to bank, loan and investment accounts, could generate about $463 billion in additional revenue over the next decade.

In a memo to congressional Democrats, the administration defended the plan, saying it requires banks and financial institutions to provide a "little bit of high-level information" to the IRS on account flows in order to give the agency more information about wealthy Americans' earnings from investments and business activity.

It caveated that banks will not have to report individual transactions to the IRS, but rather "basic, high-level information on account inflows and outflows."

"Imagine a taxpayer who reports $10,000 of income; but has $1 million of flows in and out of their bank account," the administration said in a memo to congressional Democrats this week. "Having this summary information will help flag for the IRS when high-income people under-report their income (and under-pay their tax obligations)."

But a draft of proposed tax increased released by House Democrats on Monday allocates an extra $78 billion in funding for enforcement measures over the next decade, but notably does not include any new bank reporting requirements that the White House argues is necessary to crack down on tax evasion by high-earners and corporations.

We have vaccine mandates for private businesses that will be enforced by OSHA: medical police. And now, we're going to have to deal with a rebuilt and vicious IRS. If passed and enacted, abuse will pour from the offices of the IRS. You all know this.

Just look at the corruption that engulfed the J. Edgar Hoover Building. The Department of Justice ran amok during the 2016 election and onward. They're still out of control. Do you think the tax bros at the IRS will remain inside the guardrails? No. This is government. By design, it seeks to trample to rights of the citizenry in its quest to maximize power. It can't spy on us through wiretap or mass surveillance a la Oceania, but it's going to be peeking into our bank accounts. Yeah, that's not creepy at all, right?

It should send chills up anyone's spine, very much like all the women who had their hair sniffed by Biden. And yes, we've seen the IRS get out of hand before with the targeting scandal in 2013. This agency displayed bias toward granting tax-exempt status to conservative nonprofits. We're fine with these clowns perusing our financial activity? Are we nuts?

We have overreach on all fronts. We can change course by winning back the House in 2022, but we have months until that contest will be decided. In the meantime, we must hope and pray that Biden doesn't blackmail Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) or Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), who aren't fans of this $3.5 trillion boondoggle.

Hold the line, everyone.
