Well, what got into Kevin McCarthy's Wheaties this morning? Let's take a look at the Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and an exchange he had with some reporters yesterday over his decision to stand by his promise that he would remove Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee. Of course, reporters were outraged over this! And most importantly, they tried to raise the issue of a double standard because, you know, the media is really concerned with double standards, aren't they? If this were the Kevin McCarthy that we had seen for the last ten years in his public life on Capitol Hill, if this was Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy or if this were Minority Whip Kevin McCarthy, two positions he's held over the last ten years, I don't think there would have been much controversy over him being Speaker.
