Editor’s Note: After more than 40 days of screwing Americans, a few Dems have finally caved. The Schumer Shutdown was never about principle—just inflicting pain for political points.

Welcome back to the "Stream of Kurtiousness!" Democrats have thrown in the towel completely, caving on this government shutdown. Republicans basically gave up nothing, and it was humiliating for Democrats. Just a few days ago, Democrats thought they were on top of the world, but now there are cracks in the coalition. The reality is that most SNAP recipients are Democrats, and they've alienated their base by shutting down the government in the first place. Exposing the fact that one in eight Americans is on food stamps was a wake-up call for the country. It was amazing to see Republicans finally "not suck" during a national debate. Donald Trump wants to eliminate the filibuster, but I'm not yet on board with that. People say that Democrats will eliminate it the next time they're in power, but I'm not sure if that's true. Republicans need to keep the gas on the pedal and make Democrats own their ridiculous policies and the pain they've inflicted on the American people!
