Welcome back to the "Stream of Kurtiousness!" Let's discuss SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps. Have you noticed that they've changed the language about people who are reliant on the government? The Democrats are threatening Republicans that entitlements will end and the government may remain closed. Do they not see the problem here? Republicans are the party that prefers a smaller government, so I say keep it closed! Perhaps this will be the kick in the ass that will motivate people to get off food stamps. We're living in a feminized society where excuses are made, and instead of direct confrontation, there is soft parenting and understanding. This isn't sustainable! Forty-two million people are on food stamps! And people are able to buy cookies and candy with this. Cookies and candy for children should not be the responsibility of the taxpayer to provide. It's time for parents to take responsibility, not the government.
