Mandatory Assault Weapons Now!

There is an assault weapon problem in America – too few Americans are ready to do their duty to deter and defeat criminals and tyrants because they do not own the kind of weapons necessary for a free and secure people to remain free and secure. Right now, America has only 1.2 guns per person – this tragic shortage is nothing less than a crisis, considering that each citizen should have a battle rifle and a handgun in order to perform his or her duties.

A modest proposal: Make owning an assault rifle mandatory and have the government supply one to those who cannot afford one. I say we ensure an M16 in every pot.

This only makes sense. If a citizen has a gun, he is a citizen. If a citizen does not have a gun, he is not a citizen. He is a serf at the mercy of his feudal overlords. The right to keep and bear arms is not merely a right but a duty to keep and bear arms – everyone who is a law-abiding and healthy adult must have a real assault rifle and the ammunition to use it to protect himself, his family, his community and his Constitution.

This is a non-delegable duty. Like serving on a jury and paying taxes, you can’t slough this off on others. You have to step up personally. Relying on cops is a cop-out – we must all be first responders, and there’s no better response to criminals and aspiring tyrants than a bunch of Americas packing the same heavy-duty firepower that our soldiers do. We must make it mandatory, because some people are half-stepping, and we must supply those Americans without the means to buy the necessary guns and ammunition with a weapon and bullets so that they too can know the pride of participating fully in their own governance.

Understand, that this does not mean a semi-automatic AR-15, even though this fine weapon makes lib sissies wet themselves. I mean a real assault rifle – an M4 or an M16 with select fire. The left cries about Americans having weapons of war, but those are exactly what every American should have. We didn’t drive the Brits back to the Island of Bad Teeth with hugs.

Now, we have all learned how important diversity is, and that applies to a citizen’s mandatory personal armory firearms. The M4/M16 should be the default weapon for the American citizen, but we must recognize that individual Americans themselves are the best positioned to determine their own personal firepower needs. That’s why a citizen would meet his, her, or their – non-binary American gun rights are human rights! – legal obligation to be armed for the defense of the nation by selecting any effective combat rifle or carbine, or the equivalent long weapon.

Is the body-disintegration brought on by the 5.56mm round – as decried by gun-hating gun control goofs – insufficient for your combat needs? Feel free to embrace the magic of .308! Or go bigger!

Maybe you prefer the close-in effectiveness of 00 buckshot – pump or semi-auto, your choice!

AK-74, SOCOM 16, SCAR, FAL, M14, Mini-14, even a Henry repeater – these are just some of your options. The point is not merely to be armed. The point is to be armed with the weapon(s) that will best allow you to do your duty of deterring and defeating criminals and tyrants! And, of course, there’s no law that says you can only own one – only that you must own at least one. Why not buy several, and arm yourself as the mood strikes you?

Now, a lot of communists, sissies, and liberal wine women who have figuratively castrated their husbands by refusing to allow them to do as a real man must and buy guns and ammunition, will argue that mandating and subsidizing gun ownership is somehow risky. I guess we should be happy there’s something somewhere they are not keen on mandating and/or subsidizing, but of course it is something that increases citizens’ power at the expense of bureaucrats, thug-huggers, and wannabe Mussolinis. They will claim that it is too dangerous to allow American citizens to use the rights granted them by their creator and guaranteed by the Constitution. After all, guns can be dangerous if misused. But so can tongues and printing presses, as leftists and the regime media prove every single day. The fact that we generously allow these losers to exercise their right to speak and to print nonsense despite the untold damage their availing themselves of those rights has caused America is simply proof that we are principled people. Rights are rights, even if someone will use them wrongly. And you have the right – nay, the duty – to pack heat.

Look at the criminal chaos engulfing our blue cities. An armed society is a polite society, and arming the law-abiding, healthy populace would have a salutary effect on our interactions. It would have an especially healthy impact on the crime rate, particularly if we clarified the laws on using force to include protecting property. The problem of gangs of thieves swarming stores or mobbing people has a 12-guage solution. Some weak-hearted folks might assert that it is immoral to use deadly force to protect property (it is currently generally illegal, so if you presently carry know the law!), but what is property but the physical manifestation of the time you spent working? Stealing a car is stealing a year of the victim’s work. That seems like a pretty bad thing to do, and it hardly seems immoral to prevent a crook from looting a year of your life. It is fair to assume that, early on in this new paradigm, a few criminals will get a one-way ticket to slab city for stealing, but you know what? The others will stop stealing because they don’t want to get shot.

Again, this is not the law now – hell, in Soros cities you can’t lawfully use force to defend your life or the lives of others without getting prosecuted. Make sure you obey the present law. But also exercise your right to petition your legislators to change the law.

Mandatory assault weapons ownership is a moral imperative, a rule that will allow and encourage every American to take a personal interest in the safety of his community and the security of our Constitution. The Democrats are always moaning about collective action, and what could be better than the collective action of citizens to deter and defeat scumbag criminals and would-be Castros?

In the meantime, until we become a truly enlightened society that arms its citizens, buy guns and ammunition.
