Thus far in 2024, between court appearances, Donald Trump is packing them in at huge rallies. All of the Biden administration policy train wrecks aside, among many factors, Trump’s appeal to large masses of people could be that he is intentionally not politically correct.
Concurrently, the Left seeks even greater control of public discourse and enforces an arduous political correctness edict. To errantly call a transsexual person by the wrong pronoun, for example, in some organizations, is to gamble with your career.
What is Correct About It?
“Political correctness” (PC) is employed as a cultural battering ram, upheld by self-appointed groups who rabidly seek to smear and silence those who don’t agree with their viewpoint, and belittle others for the language used, even if such language is not offensive. It’s used to potentially ruin the careers of those who don’t toe the line and to diminish any activity that doesn’t conform to such verbal fascism.
Self-appointed PC enforcers demand that everyone else think and behave as they direct. Sadly, PC currently is a major tool to immobilize otherwise conscientious government officials and to keep them from doing their jobs effectively, such as upholding the U.S. Constitution and protecting U.S. citizens.
PC rationale holds that Caucasians, principally Western males, are the embodiment of oppression, and Trump leads the pack! Their views, behaviors, and actions inherently are wrong simply because they are Caucasian, western males.
PC vocabulary, such as “white privilege” and “microaggression,” is designed to diminish and squelch the worthiness of the presumably non-conforming opposition. PC also asserts that minority individuals can do little wrong because they are minorities. The consequences of their behavior, even violence, are excusable.

Thought Control 101
Not infrequently attempts to enforce PC language border on lunacy. In 2009, Barack Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, chose to no longer mention the word “terrorism,” especially following egregious acts of terrorism within U.S. borders. Following her first testimony on Capitol Hill, she told a journalist that she is fully aware of terrorism threats; however, she prefers to rely upon the term “man-caused” disasters. “Man-caused” disasters, really? Not even “human-caused” disasters?
PC thwarts appropriate inquiry into the questionable activities. As such, PC is deadly. In 2015, many individuals noted the odd activities and behavior of a San Bernardino couple, who later proved to be mass murderers. The couple was not reported to authorities by neighbors who later confessed to consciously avoiding outing the couple because of their Islamic affiliations.
In April 2016, Obama’s Department of Justice coined new terminology for convicted juvenile criminals. They were to be regarded as “justice-involved individuals.” Such language contortion is, of course, a Big Brother-type of activity. Change the language, and you can control thought, as in pro-choice rather than pro-abortion (although, somehow, the choice invariably is abortion).
Soon thereafter, the verbally fascist Obama administration decreed that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and other federal agencies be barred from employing the terms “jihad” and “Sharia.”
Oppression and Dominance
As is well known, a short tweet, a single word, or a comment that one made 30 or 40 years ago, deemed unacceptable to the woke crowd, can imperil one’s career. Is it any wonder that PC is a curse of contemporary society?
In 2021, days after being installed as president, Joe Biden directed his staff to replace the term “illegal alien” with “noncitizen,” and most recently to employ the term “newcomer.” Also in 2021, White House website visitors were asked whether or not they wished to offer their pronouns when completing a contact form, you know: she/her, he/him, or they/them.
In 2022, the Biden administration sought to establish a “Ministry of Truth” to the delight of the overly-woke, PC crowd. Fortunately, in mid-2023, a Louisiana federal court ruling, in Missouri v. Biden, derailed Biden’s plan. The presiding judge went so far as to say that the case “arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history.”
Last month, Biden’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken asked reporters to avoid using words such as “brave men and women,” and instead use “brave first responders” or “brave soldiers.” Similarly, he eschewed the word, “mother.”
We’ve Heard Enough
PC advocates are inconsistent and, characteristically, they have no problem besmirching opponents with the foulest of language. Such targets include Caucasian Supreme Court Republican nominees, and articulate right-leaning African Americans such as Candace Owens, Ben Carson, and Tim Scott. So, it is PC language for thee, but not for me! Happily, Donald Trump does not yield even an iota. For that, among many other reasons, the crowds show up in the tens of thousands to hear him.
