There comes the point in life when one must decide whether to continue along the path that they are on or stop in place and hold their position, declining to cross the proverbial 'Runicon' unlike what Julius Caesar did over two thousand years ago when he indeed did cross the Rubicon and embarked on an endeavor which changed the course of history.

In 49 BC, when Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon River in northern Italy with his army, in doing so, he understood that this act was the beginning of civil war in ancient Rome. At the time, it was forbidden to enter Italy with one's Legions; it was considered an insurrection, treason, and a declaration of war. Ultimately Caesar met his demise on March 15, 44 BC, the 'Ides of March,' when he was assassinated on the floor of the Roman Senate.

While the indictment of former President Donald Trump may not qualify as an act of war committed by the Biden (Obama) Administration, it certainly has all the earmarks of an attempt by the Democrat-Marxist Party to make indeed a first strike against the tens of millions of Americans who have had enough of our country's flirtation with Marxism, and who have looked to former President Donald Trump to lead America back to the Constitutional Republic our founding fathers established nearly two hundred fifty years ago.

Those who know me have heard me often repeat a quote I first coined in 2015: "No communist regime has ever willingly just given up power." History has shown us that Communism must be defeated; it has never paid much attention to the will of the governed. People will recall that 2015 the Obama Administration was winding down, and the country was headed toward the general elections in 2016. Our nation's leftward drift towards Marxism had been well underway during Obama's eight years. That "fundamental transformation" he promised us when he first ran for president in 2008. But unfortunately for Obama and his followers, it had not been realized by the end of Obama's time in office. Obama and his Marxist believers needed more time.

Then came Donald Trump, who threw a monkey wrench into Obama's plans to transform America into a Marxist state. Something had to be done. The phrase from Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar,' "Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war," comes to mind. All stops were pulled out to prevent Donald Trump from winning in 2016. Once he shocked the world and won, the effort kicked into overdrive to create chaos, disrupt his presidency as much as possible, and prevent his reelection in 2020.

Two phony impeachments, "Russia Russia Russia," the Mueller Russia collusion investigation hoax, the January 6th Democrat conspiracy, and now this indictment over Trump maintaining possession of his presidential records in a locked and secure room, inside his secure estate under Secret Service protection, on a particular property. (Unlike Joe Biden's storage of classified material tucked into his garage and other unsecured cubby holes all over the place.)

All part of an effort by Barack Obama and the Democrat-Marxist Party to prevent their efforts to "fundamentally transform" America from being blocked. The people be damned.

Well, we have reached our own Rubicon. Do we step forward and cross into uncharted territory, or do we surrender to the Marxist forces against us? I'm reminded of the American patriot Patrick Henry who back in 1775 said, "I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death."

With this newest attack on Donald Trump, indeed on the American people, like Julius Caesar once did two thousand years ago, we have crossed the Rubicon as a nation. And it is time for a new generation of American patriots to follow the example set by Patrick Henry back in 1775. America is indeed worth fighting for.
