Chairman Xi, the People’s Republic of China is a great and powerful nation. The Chinese have always been a great people, with a very rich and wonderful history. The people of China are held in high regards by most Americans, we recognize their immense contributions to civilization, going back thousands of years, and right up to the present day. The Chinese have also been responsible for significant contributions to the world in field of technology, the arts, and in sports and medicine. China has accomplished much over the decades since the end of World War II.
Americans have never felt threatened by the Chinese people. We have never viewed the people of China as an enemy of our country. However, the Chinese government’s belligerence over the years towards the West, its’ spying and infiltrations of our institutions, and it’s often aggressive tone towards the United States in particular, has indeed contributed to a heightened sense of concern, yes even fear of what China’s ultimate intentions are. Sadly and admittedly our country over the years has at times contributed to misunderstandings and tension between our two great nations.
But Chairman Xi, make no mistake about it, you would do well not to misunderstand or underestimate the will and commitment of the American people. We are not one dimensional, easily fitting into a single box. We are a diverse nation capable of great accomplishments ourselves. And also capable of a great strength, driven by an inner resolve to protect and defend our interests, our homeland, and most of all our freedom at all costs. We will not go quietly into the night.
There’s an old saying, “Never poke a hornets nest with a stick.” If China wishes to try to dominate America and the entire world, it will find a swarm of hornets unlike anything China has ever experienced. The Empire of Japan learned that lesson in World War II, when after Japan’s sneak attack on Pearl Harbor the head of Japan’s naval forces, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto said, “I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant.” Yes, it was a long and hard struggle to defeat the Empire of Japan, but Japan learned that when you poke America with a stick, you awaken a nest of really mad and very dangerous hornets. Hornets determined to make anyone who tries to defeat America pay a severe price.

Chairman Xi, you should understand that it would also be wise not to mistake for or lump together the American people with our often weak, corrupt, and dysfunctional politicians in Washington, D.C.
China certainly has worked hard to infiltrate every aspect of American life over the last several decades, of that there is no doubt. Through lies and deception you’ve been successful at brainwashing a small part of an entire generation. But it’s only a very small part of America. And they’re often confused about which bathroom to use, so if you’re counting on their help you might want to rethink any strategy that relies on them.
The overwhelming vast majority of Americans will stand tall and fight for every inch of America, and also to protect our close friends and allies and our legitimate interests overseas. Are you real confident that a large part of your military won’t drop their weapons and defect to the West once they’re exposed to freedom? You must be since you control everything they’re exposed to within the People’s Republic of China. While you have in the past and continue to use our freedoms against us, freedom is a powerful weapon that we also can use, and we indeed will use against China if the time ever comes to put your ideology up against ours.
Finally, don’t deign to think that you can intimidate or scare us. And also don’t think that you can tell us what to do. We’re Americans, we will damn well go where we want, when we want, and visit who we want whether you like it or not. Our politicians may be lost in a fog, but regular AMERICANS can see very clearly what China is trying to do. And we won’t be pushed around by your bluster or your threats.
So go ahead and poke that hornet’s nest if you feel compelled, and see what happens.
