Democrats love to toss around the phrase “The Big Lie!” You’d think they’d copywritten it, they toss it around so often about the idea that the 2020 election was anything less than on the up-and-up. They do this while engaging in lie after lie about nearly every subject – Trump is a Putin puppet, Donald Trump used the presidency to get rich, Joe Biden is honest, etc. You can’t really use “The Big Lie” when it comes to Democrats because so much of what they say is are huge lies that it’s nearly impossible to tell the difference in size between so many gigantic things. However, they have added a new one to their arsenal recent: If Trump is reelected his policies will probably create inflation.

This is a rich lie, and hilarious. Democrats always repeat their methods – stick with what works. When they had 51 “intelligence community members” sign a letter claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, even though they knew it wasn’t, it worked perfectly.

The media didn’t want to cover the evidence of Biden family corruption on that laptop, and they still don’t, so the letter and the former titles of those who signed it gave them perfect cover to ignore it. They simply reported that it existed, but was probably Russia, and that was it. No explanation was ever offered as to how a laptop with that much information all over it, every bit of which checked out if they’d only look, would have been created by Russia or anyone, then dropped off at a computer repair shop long before Joe announced his run. Did they go through the most elaborate op in history on speculation that Joe might run? If so, where are the corresponding laptops or other embarrassing things targeting other Democrats in the field? Why would Russia spend so much effort and money targeting a guy who wasn’t very likely to win his party’s nomination until more than a year later?

They don’t explain that because they can’t. They also don’t have to – the people with the jobs that are supposed to ask those questions did not want to ask them because they’re on the Democrats’ team.

Same is true now with this new “letter” from “experts.”

“Scoop: 16 Nobel economists see a Trump inflation bomb,” reads a headline from Axios.

CBS News headlined their version, “16 Nobel Prize-winning economists warn that Trump's economic plans could reignite inflation.”

Note the weasel words: “could” and “see.” There is no declaration of something that will definitively happen, just that it might. They need to hedge their bets and cover their asses with plausible deniability should Trump win and their prediction not come to pass.

They do this all the time on climate – if we don’t do X, coastal cities COULD flood, etc. They’ve been making those predictions for 40 years and no city has been lost to “rising oceans,” but it doesn’t impact them because they only said it might happen. See how the game works?

These Nobel winners, none of whom you’ve ever heard of, wrote, “Many Americans are concerned about inflation, which has come down remarkably fast. There is rightly a worry that Donald Trump will reignite this inflation, with his fiscally irresponsible budgets.” They don’t say how, but they don’t have to.

To it’s credit, CBS did point out that these “Nobel Prize winners didn't detail the specifics of any part of Trump's plans, it did single out praise for some of President Joe Biden's economic policies, ranging from his Inflation Reduction Act to investment in U.S. manufacturing.”

How can Biden’s policies that actually created inflation be praised by people warning of inflation? Because there is no intellectual honesty on the left. “In his first four years as President, Joe Biden signed into law major investments in the U.S. economy, including in infrastructure, domestic manufacturing and climate," the letter continues. "Together, these investments are likely to increase productivity and economic growth while lowering long-term inflationary pressures and facilitating the clean energy transition.”

And there is the ballgame. This isn’t about the economy or inflation, this is about the extreme leftist agenda. You can’t afford to feed your family or buy a house, but Joe is “investing” your money in things that “are likely to increase productivity and economic growth.”

The consequence for these “economists” for being wrong? Nothing. They have tenure and pensions, suckers. They’re taken care of for life, will be paid forever with your tax money. Good luck with your retirement.

The left always warns of doom because fear sells. Sure, it’s bad under Biden, but it could be worse under Trump. But the thing is they predicted economic disaster under Trump the first time and the economy boomed. They predicted boom under Barack Obama and never got it. They promised a major growth under Biden and it didn’t come close to happening. It did happen in between, at least until COVID, and everyone remembers it.

No amount of signatures from people winning liberal awards is going to change the price of gas or eggs. No declaration from a tenured leftist will make your electric bill affordable. And no lie of any size is going to change the fact that Donald Trump’s economy was lightyears better than anything Joe Biden could even pretend to have created.
