It may well turn out to be that Kamala Harris was not picked to be Joe Biden’s Vice-Presidential running mate because she checked all the right boxes progressive gatekeepers require be checked for them to care about someone, but she may have been chosen for another, much more important reason. No, not what got her into politics through Willie Brown, Joe likes young staffers not old ones. It is likely that Kamala Harris was tapped to be the number two because she really is number two at politics. She might be the only running mate prospect who could make Joe look good by comparison.
She really is awful. Incapable of thinking on the fly, inarticulate when off-script, vapid beyond belief – to say her knowledge base is a mile wide and an inch deep is to ignore the fact that soles of her feet are only slightly damp, at best.
Kamala is in charge of securing the border, yet she’s only gone near it once and no longer speaks of it. Presumably, that’s why a question about whether or not she considers the border “secure” from friendly interviewer Chuck Todd caught her off guard.
“I think that there is no question that we have to do what the President and I asked the Congress to do,” Kamala replied. “The first request we made, pass a bill to create a pathway to citizenship. The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.”
The border is not secure, not by any stretch of the imagination. More importantly, the immigration system is not broken.
To say something is broken is to say it does not work. Since it’s a series of policies that wouldn’t simply break like a gear would from wear, the idea that they don’t work has to be from design. But that’s not true – as designed, our immigration system works just fine. As enforced, it’s a disaster.
Democrats, and some idiot Republicans, refuse to enforce a lot of our immigration laws, especially those related to deporting illegal aliens. The main difference between Republicans and Democrats is at least Republicans will deport criminal illegal aliens while Democrats fund lawyers to make sure they can stay forever, no matter how violent or perverted they are. No system can work if you only follow half of it.

You don’t need a whole new engine, you need to put the bolts back and replace the wires. Maintain the whole thing or it all falls apart. Our immigration system is being collapsed on purpose to get that citizenship for the illegal aliens and ultimately the Democrat Party. To hell with that.
Todd then circles back, the idea that the border is secure being even too absurd for him. Kamala retorts, “We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration but there are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix. Given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.”
That last sentence is insane. The last four years saw actual enforcement on the border, a true following of the law. But the first sentence is a word salad that exposes just how worthless Harris is in any capacity aside from making Joe look better by comparison. What the hell does “We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours” even mean?
Harris then gets to exactly what the point is for every Democrat. “We also have to put in place a law and a plan for a pathway for citizenship for the millions of people who are here and are prepared to do what is legally required to gain citizenship we don't have that in place because people are playing politics in a state like this and in Congress -- by the way, you want to talk about bipartisanship, on an issue that at one time was a bipartisan issue,” she concludes.
There is a pathway to citizenship in place already, it’s what these illegal aliens deliberately bypassed to enter the country illegally. They wanted cuts. Waiting is for suckers.
There should be no cuts, and honestly there should never be a pathway to citizenship for anyone in the country illegally.
Democrats claim they only want to bring people “out of the shadows.” What shadows? Where in this country, thanks to Democrats ignoring the laws, do illegal aliens live in fear of being deported? Short of rape or murder, Democrats do nothing but shower illegal aliens with welfare benefits, educating their kids and picking up their health care costs. And don’t forget the parades, protests, billboards, TV commercials, law firms and the entire Democrat establishment champion illegal aliens constantly. It’s not the shadows if you need sunblock in it.
Then again, lacking facts or not having reality on their side has never been a deterrent to Democrats. And having no political skills whatsoever has never been a deterrent to Kamala Harris either.
