Democrats have a new pathway to self-martyrdom: pretending to be upset about being called “groomers” by people who don’t want confused or mentally troubled teachers getting explicit with their five-year-olds about sex and the myths they are creating about gender. Think piece after think piece, with “think” being used in the loosest interpretation of the word, has been written in the last couple of days about how this is nothing more than veiled homophobia popping its head up. But this uniform, coordinated deflection is an indication that, deep down, some part of them knows what they’re doing is wrong.
Rational people don’t get upset when absurdities fly their way, they calmly bat them away. The left, in the face of the word “groomers,” has lost their collective minds. If they aren’t grooming children for perversion, who cares what someone says about them?
Honestly, they are upset because progressives are grooming children, and a lot of times, it works.
By groom, I don’t necessarily mean for sexual purposes, although that’s entirely possible and a component for some. I mean grooming in an indoctrination sense. There’s always been a small percentage of the population who’ve been gay. How small? Maybe 1-2 percent. You can argue all day long about whether or not being gay is real or just some people so obsessed with sex they’ll take it from anywhere, but that’s not what this is about.
Through indoctrination, through grooming, members of Gen Z have told Gallup that more than 20 percent of them are “LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ,” which is insane. For millennials, the number is north of 10 percent, which is also insane.
But these numbers indicate that grooming works. Are that many people really whatever letter they claim to be associated with? Of course not. But it’s fashionable to be one of those letters, very fashionable. Plus, you have immediate access to victimhood status, one of the few things leftists admire (they sure as hell don’t admire accomplishments).
There are few things held in such high esteem on the left as the concept of being “marginalized.” What it means doesn’t matter because it doesn’t mean anything, it’s all a lie. But they have convinced themselves that “members of a marginalized community” are our superiors because they’re oppressed. Weirdly, these “communities” are able to dictate the terms under which massive corporations and universities exist and rake in hundreds of millions of dollars in donations in the process. If only we could all be so “marginalized.”

It’s not just sexuality and gender where the grooming is taking place, progressives are thorough. It’s pretty much every aspect of their agenda being crammed into curriculums across the country. Have you ever wondered why teaching reading, writing, and math have collapsed so much over the past few years? It’s not because kids can’t grasp the concept, it’s because it’s not a priority among “educators” now. Maybe they should be called groomers.
Take a look here at Hannah, a left-wing activist in the UK. I know, what does the UK have to do with anything? Well, progressives are progressives everywhere, and their tactics are constant.
Hannah is a member of something called Just Stop Oil, an environmental extremist group the UK is, sadly, becoming known for producing. In the tradition of dumb people gluing themselves to buildings and highways, Hannah and her friends chained themselves to pipes to protest oil use. I’d like to say there’s something deeper to it, but there really isn’t. It’s that stupid.
How did someone so young become convinced the world will come to an end before she can have kids? Or, like so many of these “activists,” that they shouldn’t have kids to save the planet? They’ve been groomed thoroughly and successfully. You’re not going to convince someone like Hannah, who repeatedly refers to herself as brave and courageous, that they’ve been brainwashed.
Granted, the washing of the brains of these leftists didn’t require a lot of soap, but it was complete.
You could say, and you’d be correct, that the Hannahs of the world are few and far between, and anyone susceptible to talk of transgenderism is an insignificant number in the population (though that polling data should be an eye-opener), but never underestimate the damage a small percentage of the population can do.
The Nazis were never close to a majority of the German population, and look at the damage they did. Mao’s communists were a tiny portion of the Chinese people when he seized power, and he oversaw the murder of 50+ million of them. Stalin, Castro, Pol Pot, every whatever degree of “progressive” left-wing strongman dictator in the last century (and make no mistake, they were all of the progressive left) never had a majority with them, they just had a small band of dedicated fanatics willing to do horrible things for what they were groomed to believe was the “greater good.”
Look at the atrocities in Ukraine right now. Do you think there’s something inherently evil about the average Russian soldier, or do you think they’ve been brainwashed – groomed – into the monsters they are now?
Democrats are so upset at the grooming label not because they’re offended by it, it’s that they don’t want you to know the extent to which they are doing it to the next generation. Because knowing what they’re doing is the only way we can start to stop it.
